To Pay or not to Pay. . .

Posted in Family

After church on Sunday Richie says me Rich and I that he would like to have a meeting with the two of us at 8 o'clock that night.  We were so curious to know what he wanted to speak with us about.  It must be serious if he's calling a meeting.  He has never done that before.  So what was the meeting about you ask?  He would like to get some kind of allowance.  We've tried this in the past and it just never stuck.  I'm thinking one of these super cool chore charts might help us keep track of what he's done each day.  They have tons of charts.  They even have a Ninja Chart which is perfect for Richie.  So do you do the allowance thing or not?  Do you use a chore chart to keep track of things?  In about a month this site will have a feature to create your own chart and share it with others.

"Children and Finances Part 2" outlines an allowance plan that we have adopted with our kids. Right now we're saving for the mission trip, so allowances are on hold; but it was working well for a couple months.
