My nephew is the sweetest most honest kid you'll ever meet. He just can't help being totally honest. And that's a really good thing of course. But sometimes it makes for an awkward moment.
Like last week when I was over there grilling the hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner one night after working on the roof. So I get done with the hamburgers and he say to me in a most sincere tone of voice, "Thanks Aunt Kristie, these are hardly even burnt at all"
The next day I was over there again and he tells me that I can be mean just like his mom. He wasn't being rude mind you. I had just told all the kids there that we needed to get things cleaned up in a very serious tone and he wanted to let me know what a good job I had done of that.
That kid says some pretty funny things without even meaning to.
