It never ceases to amaze me just how many things we are able to accomplish online, and thus avoid the need to leave the house altogether.  The services that are available to us as consumers over the internet are countless.  Over the last few years I have grown to rely on the internet more and more for all kinds of services.

 One thing I had never even thought of was the ability to hire out a project to a Handyman.  Basically you upload the details of a project you have that you have the need to hire out for.  Once the project has been uploaded to the site, different tradesmen are able to bid for your job.  This would be so beneficial if you are a busy person who does not have the time to set aside for multiple estimate appointments.  It also would be a huge time saver for a tradesman whose time is very valuable.  This way the person looking to get hired by you looks over all of the details online and then from that information lets you know what they are willing to do the work for. 

You sift through the estimates to find one that you are comfortable with.  Once you have chosen the best fit for all of your needs, then you can contact the one you choose and get the work done.  This is a win win situation.  It is also free for the tradesman to register and use these services.  The only cost comes when they do get a job.  So no work, no pay.
