We used to be very big fish enthusiasts. We had an 80 gallon tank, a 50 gallon tank and 3 other tanks that I believe were 30 gallon tanks. That is a lot of fish tanks. And it was a lot of work. We slowly started down grading our tanks until one day we only had one 80 gallon tank and one 50 gallon tank.
One night while everyone was asleep I woke up to a strange noise coming from the living room. We had a woodburner going so I went to check on it. As I was walking down the hall I stepped in something wet. My first thought was that Buddy had gone to the bathroom in the house again. But I was wrong. As I investigated a little more I saw that our 80 gallon tank was completely empty!!!!
Yes the tank had gotten a very small crack in the bottom and emptied all over my living room. Thankfully the damage was not bad at all. But this was enough for us. We took the other tank down too and gave the fish to a good fish dealer.
But it was always our thought that we would have one of those magnificent salt water tanks with live coral and the most beautiful Salt Water Fish. But unfortunately we aren't brave enough to try another tank any time soon. But I still think it would be so cool to see creatures like these swimming around in my house, in a tank of course.
