My brother in law David is getting ready to graduate from the Navy's boot camp in a couple of weeks.  So that means that we will be taking a trip to Chicago to see his graduation.  We are all very excited.  The graduation in on a Wednesday, so we are going to make a vacation out of it.  Neither Rich or I have every been to Chicago or Illinois.  So we are looking at what things we should do and see while we are there.  Also, we will be traveling through Indiana as well.  So here is my question to you.  Have you ever been to the area?  If so, what should we not miss while we are there.  I do believe we will have about 5 days in total to spend there, including driving.  Oh, and we love to see the non touristy spots that noone knows about as well as the well known spots.
