My baby is growing up.

Yesterday Kalene and I went down to the local community college and registered her for her ver first college classes.  I am not sure who was more nervous me or her.  She did a great job talking with the counselor and letting her know what it is that she is trying to do.  Her plan right now is to earn her associates degree by the time she graduates from highschool. 

I think it is a great idea.  And after speaking with a couple of other homeschool moms who've done this I am excited by the idea of it all. 

We are not considered dual enrollment.  This means that she will still need to take all of her highschool classes at home.  But she can also get a jump start on her college career at the same time. 

For her first two classes she chose a state history class and an English class.

I'll update how things go as we progress through the year.
