I cannot say enough how important a menu plan is to keeping your grocery budget on track. You'll be so much less likely to buy extras when you have a plan. You'll also be less likely to stop and pick up fast food if you already know ahead of time what you'll be making for dinner. I choose easier meals for the days I know we'll be super busy and very much tempted to pick something up, or go out to eat. So if you aren't planning your menu why not start today. Just try it, and see for yourself if it makes a difference. Here's my menu plan for the week. If you've been reading for a while you'll notice we have the same things for breakfasts and lunches. The only thing that changes is dinners. This keeps thing nice and easy. Breakfasts - consists of oatmeal, cold cereal, fruit smoothies, toast & poached eggs.
Lunches - consists of soups, peanut butter sandwiches, or dinner leftovers.
Dinners - I will try to include lots of veggies this week.
