Blogger Friend Assignment #5

Posted in Blogger Friend School

Here is the assignment for this week:

The assignment this week is to use your Blog Name (or your own pen/real name) and create signs.  There are two ways to do this and you can do one or both ways.

1.  Visit ImageChef (www.Imagechef.com) and create some free cute signs.  The easiest way to explain this is to follow the templates - choose, customize (type in name), and then Preveiw.

Here are my signs:

2.  Share a special verse.

So there you have it.  My assignment is complete.  This was a really fun thing to play around with.  I am glad Tamara has let us in on this great site.

Now I am off to do my extra credit.  I can't wait to see what everyone else came up with.

Assignment #3  Blogging ABC's

Part 1 - Using the FIRST letter of the alphabet, describe yourself or things that are important to you.  The hard part: use ONLY one word per letter!

Part 2 - Share another scripture that is upon your heart this week.

Zeal

There you have it.  And I even pulled out a dictionary.  I figure that since I didn't do my assignment last week I had better really put some effort into this one.

Now here is the scripture that has been on my heart all week:

Mark 7:6-8

He replied," Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:

" 'These people honor me with their lips.  but their hearts are far from me.  They worship me in vain;  their teachings are but rules taught by men.'

You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.

I definately need some extra credit.  So I am off to visit some of my classmates.

Blogger School Assignment

Posted in Blogger Friend School

I decided to join the Blogger Friend School Class this year.  I loved reading everyone elses posts last year.  I don't think its too late to enroll in the class.  If you would like to read some of my other classmates assignments you can check it out by clicking on the graphic below.

How I got started blogging:

When I started blogging I had absolutely no idea what it even was.  I had heard about it through the Ambleramble email list.  I thought my daughter would love it.  I also thought it could be a neat way to keep in touch with Grama and Papa who live 8 hours away.  Now I love it.  It gives me a way to keep track of our homeschool experience.  I also love to read others blogs.  I get so much encouragement and I hope to give a little back.

This is where I would love to find myself blogging.

Here are a few more questions to help you get to know me a little better:

1.  What time do you usually blog?

I blog whenever I can find the time.

2.  What is your favorite drink?

Tim Hortons coffee

3.  What is your favorite book?

The Bible

4.  What is your favorite dessert?

Vanilla bean cheesecake from T.G.I.Fridays

5.  Share a scripture that has been an inspiration

in your growth with Christ?

Isaiah 58:6-14

Isaiah 61 Especially verse 7)

I love all of Isaiah and its so hard to choose one verse.

*EXTRA CREDIT  -  visit 10 classmates.

I am off to earn my extra credit.
