Prepare your work area. Put newspapers down or a plastic tablecloth to paint on top of. Open up the brown lunch bag. Stuff the bag 3/4 full with your stuffing materials. Tie a bow around the bag, closing it just above where the stuffing is located. Hold the bag by this handle (above the string). Pour out some orange paint in a bowl. Let your child paint the bag orange! As long as they cover most of the bag, it will look good. They will feel really "big" to be able to paint all by themselves. Allow the bag to dry.
Another GREAT Pumpkin Craft:
This pumpkin is on a Roll! A tiolet paper roll!

Materials Needed Per pumpkin:
18" square of fabric (fall colors or prints)
8"x5" pc. of brown paper grocery bag
Roll of tiolet tissure paper (paper still on the roll!)
Jute string (natural color)
Artificial leaf or green ivy
18" orange pipe cleaner (or orange wire)
Elmer's glue or hot glue gun
Scissors
Place your fabric square, patterned side down, on a flat work surface. Bring the corners of the fabric up to the center around the roll. Stuff the fabric enda into the center hole of the roll. (Add glue to hold). Fold the piece of brown paper bag in half (making a 4"x5" rectangle). Starting at one short end, roll the paper into a long stem shape. Wrap jute around the stem. Glue ends to hold. Insert the bottom of this stem (no jute need be applied) into the opening of the pumpkin. Glue to hold. Glue on leaves. Wrap craft wire or pipe cleaners around a pencil (and pull pencil out) to make coils for the pumpkin's tendrls. Add coils by wrapping around the pumpkin stem and glue. Make more pumpkins in coordinating fabrics and sit together!
