This product allows your child to “experience” the wonderful story in Biblical history of Jesus’ birth, through play!
I have many nativity sets displayed around our home in the months of December and January but not many that the children can actually play with.
I opened the box right away and my daughter started playing with it with great delight. (She especially loved the baby Jesus and rocked him back and forth many times before placing him in the manger.) As the other children started coming in from outside, each one was drawn to this new toy.

This play set nativity is heavy duty and durable. It is nice to display yet has whimsical characters to entice the young crowd. It is recommended for ages 3 and up but my two year old daughter loves it. (She is beyond the stage where she puts things in her mouth though!)

This nativity set includes a “Birth of Baby Jesus” mini-storybook and 17 pieces: Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus in manger,

King #1, King #2, King #3, Angel #1, Angel #2, Shepherd #1, Shepherd #2, male camel, male donkey, male sheep, female sheep, stable, tree, and a barrel of hay
The little storybook included is printed in English, French and Spanish. This is a great tool for the child that can read. They can read the story and reenact the story using the figures. Older children and/or parents can also read the story aloud if the Bible is not close by.
We placed some felt on our table first and it made it even more fun as it had its own area.
The company, One2believe, produces this product.

Their passion is to help children learn important Bible lessons and to have them come to faith in Jesus. Their goal is to provide fun ways of teaching children about the greatest people who ever lived. Through the toys that they design, children will learn and play out exciting stories about real people. These toys teach children that there are real superheroes they can believe in!

As parents we too should have this passion. Here is a toy that will help us reinforce the important time when our Savior was born!
On their website, there is even a section for kids with Bible Stories (followed by discussion questions) and also coloring pages. This nativity is endorsed by Focus on the Family... and I recommend it too!

Thanks for the comment! I just heard about "Come What May" the other day, but I had no idea we could actually watch it! Thank you!
The largest wooden beads I used (in the picture) are just under 3/4 inch in diameter.
Since you don't have any acorn caps large enough, how about I send you some? I've got gobs of the regular kind, and also lots of large burr oaks that should be an appropriate size. I can mail you a small box of them within the next few days if you'd like.
You can find my Mom's email address on her blog.
Blessings,
-Breezy

Oh, I like the set! I know what you mean about having something they can handle. We had a ceramic set - but not for long. Little by little pieces were broken. Since then I have collected various wooden pieces and the girls still love playing with it every Christmastime. That set would have been nice to have about 11 years ago. :)

Those ARE great playsets!
We also have the Fisher Price nativity. I like it because I don't have to worry about DD breaking anything, and she still gets to 'retell' the story of the Savior's birth!
