Muffin Tin Monday

Nov. 3, 2008 • 12:51 PM

Muffin Tin Monday

It's funny but my kids asked me today during school, "Can we have lunch in those muffin pans again?" I thought well, it is Monday and I dodn't know what to make them for lunch so... that was an easy "Sure!" answer to give!

So... I jumped on over to Sycramore Stirrings, the host of Muffin Tin Mondays but found out she is moving. Muffin Tin Mondays meme is also moving to a new blog, Her cup Overfloweth. Well, what was even better, with the switch over, there was no set theme so everything was working out!

Here was the kid's lunch!

We had leftover chicken pieces, carrot sticks, and wheat crackers all to dip into ranch dip/dressing (if desired), then half a banana and two pieces of candy.

I am a theme person so this will be a fun challenge for me. Since my kids really like this idea, I am going to try it for awhile. Whenever I can incorporate the theme, then I will and I'll link up with the others over at the Muffin Tin Monday blog. Next week's theme is NEXT WEEKS THEME: FAMILY HERITAGE/TRADITIONS

Next Week bring your tins filled with foods from your heritage and/or recipes/foods passed down through your family. You can pick your family or do both you and your husband's together. If you really want to get into it, you can incorporate a little history lesson.

Oh- this will be fun. I need to think of the foods for this one. I am going to try to have some old photos of family members to show the kids before or after ther meal.

Oh, I love these lunches! I am sure my younger kids would enjoy this. Not, my 10 year old as he doesn't like eating much. Oh, maybe this would make him like food? Hm. I need to think about this. Thanks.

That looks like a fun way to serve a meal, with our without the theme - but the theme would make it fun. Thanks for sharing!

Oooo... that's a GREAT idea! Of course, it probably doesn't work as well when all I have are the 24ct muffin tins! LOL

RYC- THANK YOU. :-) I never even thought about a breadcrumb from God on Wednesday. But be sure to know that if I do get one (and am not too blind to see it), that I will share it with everyone! God has been so very good and gracious to me-- and I choose to praise Him... in all things. Even when it's not always easy. And your prayers really do help!

Much love,
Marsha
