The Creation Museum

Feb. 20, 2009 • 10:56 AM

Posted in (Field) Trips

Last week, we took a great family vacation. We stayed at a Great Wolf Lodge and then spent a day at The Creation Museum. It is a wonderful museum and I encourage you all to plan a trip there. You can find out more at their Creation Museum website!

Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum seek to give glory and honor to God as Creator, and to affirm the truth of the biblical record of the real origin and history of the world and mankind.

Great Wolf Lodge was great fun, too!
It is a very nice hotel with a waterpark right inside. Fun, convenient, safe, activities, clean, great for a family.
My silly crew ready for fun! (The goggles didn't stay on long but they made for a goffy photo!)

So glad you had a great time... the photos are great! I'm busy doing a Lincoln lapbook that I mentioned on my post... and then a YouTube video to show it.

Have a great rest of the week.

Hey!! We have been to the creation museum. We are about 1 1/2 hours from Glen Rose and we have vacationed there several times!! We love Glen Rose...have said we could be perfectly happy moving there. Fossil Rim is also great as well - it is a drive through safari. We also love Dinosaur Valley Park...and of course the Creation Museum.

I really really really want to go to the Great Wolf Lodge. It looks like so much fun!! My hubby and I have stayed at the Gaylord Texan (pretty much across the street) and love it!

It looks like yall had a blast!

Feb. 16, 2009 - Homeschool review

Posted by Linda at http://thoughts-of-the-heart.blogspot.com

Hi, this is my first time visiting your blog. I found it because I was looking for Review of the Week homeschooling blogs since I just started mine recently. I also have looked at Beyond Five in a Row and you're right. It is meaty and very nice. I wanted to ask you if I could use your homeschooling prayer graphic, also how did you get the Bible verses with the cute graphics. Please let me know.

Sincerely,
Linda

So glad you got to come to the museum. We are blessed to live only a few minutes from the museum! I've also thought of visiting the Great Wolf Lodge, that looks like so much fun.

Hi, I'm from Brazil and here we don't have homeschooling. Children going to school is compulsory - however, this doens't guarantee that they're receiving the best. Some school are really great, as the one I teach, but many public ones are not. Our children have to face so many problems they weren't supposed to... I like to think some countries allow children to be educated at home, by people who do love and want the best for them!

We stayed at Great Wolf in Grapevine last month-- it was great fun! And in April, I'm going to the convention in Cincinnati and then my family is going to join me after the conference so we can go to the Museum. :) Any tips you want to share?
