Going Fishing

Yesterday I went fishing. Everytime I pulled back on the line, I thought I was catching a fish, but it was nothing. Once I did catch a leaf. There was about 13 fish in the pond that saw there was a bobber in the water, but we only caught 1 fish that was alive. The other was dead already.

They had a bonfire and I roasted about 7 marshmellows and 1 hotdog. I ate the hotdog while I was walking to our car.

That's all for now.

Mar. 30, 2006 - what was the bait?

Posted by Grammie

Well, sounds like a great time, sure hope we can do that this summer. I love to fish. What did you use for bait? I like to use cheese, most fish like it. Sometimes I use salmon eggs, they are pink and I think the fish like the color. I love hot dogs too, especially if you get to roast them over an open fire.

Mar. 31, 2006 - Fishing

Hi Andrew,
I really am glad you got to go fishing. When I was your age my dad, who went fishing almost every weekend, took me a lot. One time my grandmother, my mother's mother, went with us. This was very unusual and I am not sure why she went. But I remember while we were in the boat she hooked something and she really tugged hard for a long time trying to bring it in. She was very excited and then all of a sudden the line released and the rod quit bending. She realed in the line and my dad told her it must have gotten away. She asked him what kind of fish would make her rod bend so much and he told her a --- rock fish!
Love,
Grandfather
