We were going to camp two nights, but. . .we had to leave at 2 am! We left because there was a thunder storm. And it was pretty scary. When we got home it was about 3:20. I went to sleep at 3:26. I woke up at about 10:30. I usually wake up at about 8:30.Well, now we have had our breakfast that we were supposed to have while we were camping and our hot dogs too. We even had our Smores that were made in the microwave. We also made some Smores while we were camping.

Well, I guess you found out that you can never count on the weather and that hot dogs can taste good no matter where you cook them. I think that camping is great, Grandfather and I did it with your Mom when she was young and it was great. Grandfather loves the outdoors, he loves thunder and lightening storms. I like the outdoors, but can do without too many bugs. Let's go to the national park next summer and see how many bugs we can find in one day, maybe then I will not be so "creeped out" by bugs. Hi my favorite little scientist! I think you had an exciting campout even though it was cut short. I have been rained on many times. One time on a backpack trip with my father (he was a park naturalist - an interpretive ranger) and we could not pack up and go home so easily - boy was I cold! The microsmores sound cool, perhaps we can make some on my next visit. Love Grandfather :-)
