Oct. 30, 2006 - Our Little Getaway!
Jeff and I decided that we needed to get away for a couple days. We never went on a vacation over the Summer, so we thought it would be nice. He had only Monday and Tuesday off and he likes a day of rest before returning to work. We left early Saturday morning and headed to Indianapolis. We had looked online for a few things to do. We found a train trip that takes you to a pumpkin patch, little petting zoo, and corn maze. We all had fun riding the train and being outside. The weather was so nice. Then on Sunday we went to the Children's Museum. That was really neat there was so much to do and the kids loved it. On Monday we made our way back slowly through back roads. We love driving through the country looking at the houses and farms. We also stopped at a very old cemetary. Jeff loves history and especially wars and anything to do with those who have died. I know it sounds a bit creepy, but the guy should be working at a funeral home. The kids got out and were getting a History lesson. He was telling them what war they were in and what was going on in that time in History etc... It was very cold though and the kids wanted back in the car. So we drove through the rest and continued on home. Here are some pictures of our trip.

I didn't realize that someone else was taking a picture while I was, kind of weird: )

Kiley and Collin are petting the Donkey. She wasn't afraid of any of the animals.

Taking a ride around the farm.

I set Carter in the grass while the kids played at a really fun park near the train station. He was fascinated by the leaves and was thrilled to finally grab a hold of one.

"I GOT IT MOM!!"

At the Museum

Kiley decided to use the water to do her hair. Her head was soaked. Everytime I turned around she was back at the water table. She was so proud of her new hairdo.

Carter was just shocked j/k The flash makes his eyes bigger than they are. We just laughed at this picture.

They had a construction zone that the kids enjoyed. The rocks are made of a thick foam.

This is them in front of a plot from a guy who died in the early 1800's and was in the revolutionary war. Jeff came home and googled the guy. He just loves history.
