Today while beginning to clear my future garden I found another toad. This one was also a bigger one. The kids were very excited. Bailey comes over first looks at the toads and quickly declares that the lighter colored one is Collin and the darker one is Cameron. Which is funny since Cam has the darker hair. Now to some having a toad named after you could be insulting. But not to my boys. They thought that was a GREAT idea. They even said their names with pride. They also wanted their pictures taken with them. The 4 of them played with them all day. They made beds for them, ponds, tried to catch bugs, it was so cute. They dug through the recycling bin to find things to make them happy. They let them go after dinner. I am sure they will be up and out the door tomorrow looking for toad Cameron and toad Collin. Here are some pictures of them.
I'm impressed that they would touch the toads! I'm feeling a bit squeamish just looking at the pictures....and your kids look like they love each other a lot, it's very precious :)
Sooo cute. My dd (9) loves frogs, toads, lizards, insects (except spiders and well....roaches YUCK), almost an kind of bug, animal...whatever. Looking at these pictures reminded me of her love for nature. Thanks for sharing. Be blessed.
