Yesterday the kids and I went to Sam's Club and Walmart. I needed to take in the memory card for the Christmas card pictures. I also needed food for Saturday. I went through my 169 pictures while I was already standing at the machine. I picked out, cropped, and color adjusted the pictures and then headed for the aisles. Cameron and Bailey made my list. I was stopped a few times for comments on the "yes, they are all mine", "Are you off school" and now throw in the new one. "Are all you kids getting excited and ready for santa?" ugh... The kids just smile at the santa one, wondering if it's ok to inform them that he's not real. I keep telling them we don't talk Santa. I am so afraid of some mom getting really mad at me. Kiley told anyone who looked her way to have a Merry Christmas. We shopped and ate lunch there and then headed to the photo area to pick up the pictures. We were then informed the printer was broke and they would be available later. Ummmm sam's is 30 minutes away, so I get smart and call, I was left on hold for 25+minutes and talked to 2 people. Then I get there and wanted to speak to a manager. I was really going to be nice , but after waiting 10 minutes I just went to the stores I needed to run into. That was a good lesson in why I should always just go to walgreens. Even if they are little more money, my time is too valuable to waste. I do have my pictures and am working on the Christmas cards now I know I am late, but I plan to hand many out at the party, since most of my family will be there.
~~~The kids were able to in the snow. They were out there for over 2hrs and then again today for a couple hours. They made a few snowman and used their handy snowball makers. And also went and broke all our icicles hanging all around the house. Kiley The team working hard. Collin hmmmm I wonder who is about to get hit with that snowball.
Very cute pictures!
We haven't been outside to play in awhile. The wind has been just bitter cold here lately (and I'm a wimp!) ;-)
I keep meaning to get to the Sams and get our photo cards made, too...but I think we will have to send out 'New Years cards' this year at the rate I'm going!
That is so funny about Santa Claus. I'm with ya sister! I get made fun of by some of my friends but this is just one thing I refuse to give into. I mean really. I work my butt of getting stuff for the kids (and love every minute of it!!), hide it all, wrap it and people expect you to lie to your kids and tell them that some fat guy that doesn't even really exist brought them into our house while we were sleeping - and he does that for every child in the whole world in one night. yeah, no thanks! simon's too smart for that anyway! :)
are you done shopping now?? how did you get it all done with all the kids? babysitters???
have a great Christmas!
Santa...big sigh. I was raised with it and my hubby without. We told our kids the truth and only Santa appeared at my mom's. For us the kids just knew the truth and didn't think anything of it. But they were always quick when ask to tell people "we don't do Santa except at grandmas and we know he's not real". People did look at me strange. Oh well, I've been weird all my life. Character trait needed to HS and teach children the TRUTH. okay, I'm getting off my soap box now.
I am so in love with Jesus and am seeking to know Him more each day. I am a wife to Jeff and Mommy to 6 children (Bailey 9, Cameron & Collin 8, Kiley 5, Carter 3 and Brayden born 9/30/09). My house is often crazy, but always full of love. This blog is a story of my adventures, God's mercy and grace in my life, and funny days that aren't always very funny at first.
