I am hoping it will rain in order to water all the seeds, hostas, and tree we planted. It looks like it could rain anytime. It is very gloomy and is much cooler than the weekend. I took some pictures of some of what we did last weekend. It will look way better when I take a picture when all is green and colorful.
Here is the front of the house. In those boxes in the front under the fence was weeds and dirt when we moved in. The kids and I cleaned them out and planted the hostas that were in my garden area. the date is wrong sorry.
This is the place we will be planting our garden. It had bushes, weeds, flower remains, mulch and hostas. I still need to take the lilac bush out and find a place for it. And finish clearing and getting the dirt turned over. And then finally planting. We will be planting, tomato plants, green beans, green peppers, cucumbers, a few corn stalks, sunflower, and I am not sure what else yet. Since those pictures are so boring Here are some cute ones of the kids at the park. :>Michelle
You're making great use of that space! We plant all of those plants in our front yard, as the dogs would annihilate my veggies! We're thinking about planting strawberries this year, just for us!!! And sunflowers? Definitely!!!
Thanks for the pictures, your kids are sooooo cute!!!
I popped over here from Michelle (FoxValleyFamily)...I've really enjoyed reading your blog...(actually though, I should be teaching my children right now!). I love your entry regarding the three questions..Is Jesus Lord, Saviour, Life....would you mind if I added an entry to my blog that linked people to this post...it is wonderfully stated and those three questions are SOOOOOO important!
Growing In Christ,

I have some rearranging I have to do myself, and cleaning out of leaves and debris, and trimming, and...
It can be a lot of worth, but it is so worth it when it all grows.
You have such a nice area for planting. We have nothing. One little ring around a tree in the front yard, and a TINY corner of the back yard...that's it. sometimes I miss my old house...we had 4 nice big flowerbeds. :-(
Oh well...I don't have much of a green thumb anyways - LOL!
Can't wait to see the after pics. I bet you are so happy to have your camera back. I am wanting to plant a garden but know so little (well practically nothing) about gardening. I did purchase a unit study on gardening by Amanda Bennet and we are about to start it so I suppose I will be learning along with the children:) Be blessed,
Stacy
Those look like great places to grow things. We worked in our square foot gardens today too. I'm not much of a gardner, but I've found I can actually grow things in square foot gardens.
I am so in love with Jesus and am seeking to know Him more each day. I am a wife to Jeff and Mommy to 5 children (Bailey 7, Cameron & Collin 6, Kiley 4, and Carter 2). My house is often crazy, but always full of love. This blog is a story of my adventures, God's mercy and grace in my life, and funny days that aren't always very funny at first.
