Today was Jeff's birthday and so the kids were very excited all day. He is almost 9 years older than me, so I always feel so young on his birthday. I am currently the same age he was when we met. It's kind of weird, because I thought he was so much older. But now that I am here, it's still young.lol...I think. It's all so relative. Ask a kid and I am old, ask a Grandma and I am a kid. Interesting, don't you think.
Cameron and I went out last night and picked up a few things for him. Jeff and I have decided our new home, computer, and some furniture can be our gifts for at least a year maybe more, so we only get small things. Cameron had fun choosing his favorite candy and snacks to give him. They wanted to wrap the gifts. Because I am cheap, I mean wise with our finances, I had to get creative. I couldn't find any birthday wrapping paper around the house, just bags, so we used Christmas paper backwards. I gave the kids stickers and they had so much fun. They thought it was a great idea So my tip for the day is if you need to wrap a gift use paper bags or Christmas paper backwards and have the kids decorate with markers or stickers. LOL
Here are some pictures of their fine work. Kiley didn't really appreciate Collin diving in front of her. She asked me to take another one.
These next couple are the boys in their Easter outfits. Bailey kept telling them they looked like little business men. They thought that was cool. Carter saw us taking pictures and wanted in on the action.
That Carter is a hoot. I can't believe that you're 9 years younger. I bet that feels MIGHTY fine about now. I'm 3.5 years younger and love it. But that's not that much....when you consider 9 years. :)
So how young ARE you. ????? I'm 33.
Michelle,
That was a very good idea on the wrapping paper. I never have any when I need it, so I will be using this idea. Thanks for sharing. I love the pictures of the kiddos too. I always appreciate how you post a lot of pictures because it make me feel like I live just next door or something. So thanks for that too. Oh, and thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving a complimentary comment. I love to have visitors!
Love & Blessings,
(: Amanda :)
I am so in love with Jesus and am seeking to know Him more each day. I am a wife to Jeff and Mommy to 5 children (Bailey 8, Cameron & Collin 6, Kiley 4, and Carter 2). My house is often crazy, but always full of love. This blog is a story of my adventures, God's mercy and grace in my life, and funny days that aren't always very funny at first.
