Ok.... so, this blog kinda... died. I would try to bring it back, but I really don't like the URL.... I want my username and URL to be the same, so I'm now Jeremiah2913.... I'm not sure if I like that one either, but I like it better.....IDK. Come check out my new blog!

Beautiful weekend

This past Saturday was Dad's birthday. We were planning to go up to the mountains to see the fall colors, but then we found out dad had to work on Saturday. They always need him on the most inconvenient Saturdays...

But then he got off work at 11:00, so we got to go anyway. :) We mostly just drove around. We were going to go over Guenela Pass (I didn't spell that right....), and on the way there you have to drive through Bailey, CO. That's where the school shooting took place about a year ago. Anyway, we happened to go through there on the Saturday they had the.... I'm not sure what they call it. A memorial or something. Anyway, everybody who wanted to participate would go on a motorcycle ride from Columbine (where the shootings took place several years ago) to the Bayley highschool. There were literally hundreds of motorcycles. We must have passed at least a thousand. As far as traffic is concerned, we were going about five miles an hour, but Seth was having fun watching the motorcycles. :)

The colors were beautiful, however, the best picture scene had huge power lines right through the middle of it. And then I really don't like our camera, so I didn't take many pictures. :)

Long time no post

Well, the couples retreat was... a week ago, so I should probably tell you about that. Mom and Dad left around 5:00 (well, that's when they were supposed to leave, I'm not sure when they actually got out the door, though.). They were in Buena Vista at the Trail West... I guess you would call it a resort. I was going to say campground, but I think it was more resortish.

As far as things went at home... Seth had been sick the day before/the day they left, so they almost didn't go, but they decided to anyway. Everything went great, actually. :) We even did school on Friday. Seth slept all night both nights, which was really nice.

Mom actually bought real junk food for us to eat, too. :D Ramen Noodles, Mac and Cheese, frozen chicken patties, etc... We actually had spaghetti too. That's not junk food as far as I'm concerned. :)

Well, now my excuse for not being online for a few days.... junk food has results. Yeah... I got sick. Every but Dad got a little bit of something anyway... Mom's wasn't near as bad as the rest of us, so, we think it was from the junk food. I don't think I ever want to eat Ramen Noodles again.....anyway, I'm better now.

I got my pictures from the Mt. Evans hike, but that was a while ago.... If ya'll still want me to post some I will. Let me know. :)

A late tribute to the fallen of 9/11

Well, here I am again. Just sitting here, trying to think of something interesting to say....

Does anybody know how to make my friends show in my right module?? I really like this template, but it took things like that out. And then I would like your avatars to show when you comment... I'll have to play around with it tomorrow. :)

The couples retreat is **gasp** this week! Please pray for my sisters and I. Mom has never left Seth alone with us this long... I have a feeling he's not going to like it.

I know it's a little bit late, but here is a poem about September 11th that my sister wrote last year. I really like it, and I hope you do too.

A Tribute to the Fallen of 9/11

Two towers rise high and proud,

Above the New York City crowd.

Two planes lift off to the sky,

And nearer to the city fly.

Innocent people attending their jobs

Will soon turn into frightened mobs.

A plane comes at the tower hard and fast

Then plows in with an awful blast.

America is wailing – mourning her dead

As another plane flies overhead.

Before another hour is past,

Many more have breathed their last.

The towers that once rose so high

And pierced the New York City sky,

Are now rubble on the ground,

Where many people can’t be found.

The sky is dark, thick, smoky gray,

America can never forget that day.

Many a common man was turned hero,

The moment he stopped to help at ground zero.

It’s for these people and the many who died

Every American should feel honest pride.

Instead of two towers high in the air,

There are millions of monuments, millions of prayers,

Millions of memories that can’t depart,

Raised in many American hearts.

And while to these memories Americans cling,

We’ll never stop shouting, ‘Let freedom ring!’

And he works on your car....

When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told that the keys had been accidentally locked in it.

We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's side door.

As I watched from the passenger's side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered it was open.

"Hey," I announced to the technician, "It's open!"

"I know," answered the young man, "I already got that side."
