Our quiver

Posted in Our Kids

The Lord has blessed us with four beautiful children.  They range in age from 4 to 13.  We had made the decision when our youngest, Geneviθve, was only a couple of months old to end our child bearing.  My husband had a vasectomy.

We are praying and reconsidering this decision.  So many people have made the decision to have more children and we are thinking that we might join those ranks.  I pray that our insurance will cover the fees or the Lord will provide in this area.

I would love to hear from others who have gone through the same experience.  One often thinks that they are the only ones going through a particular situation.  I know it's not true, but sharing with others that have come through it would be encouraging.

I know that Jehovah Jireh is my provider in each and every area of my life and I make the decision to trust Him.  He has brought me through so many other things, I know that He will bring me through this one.

Shalom B'Shem Yeshua,

Marie

I was just reading on a yahoo group I belong to how some feel it is wrong to use birth control. So I brought up this subject which I thought was closed regarding more children just this morning. My dh feels he is too old to have more children (he is 47). Well, I don't want to miss out on any more blessings the Lord may see fit to give me. I love large families and so wish we would have started our family much sooner than we did. But I have also had some health issues related to post-partum and really don't feel I would have the energy to be a good parent to another baby. Such a big decision...but not for our God! xo Jeani

There is a ministry at http://www.blessedarrows.org/ that will help with the expense.

I will post our quiverfull testimony on my blog one of these days, but to make it very short:
We had one child and were planning to have one more, then "quit". I suffered through over two years of secondary infertility, then came to the realization that God is ultimately in control. We were told on 4/15/94 thst we would never have a second child.

I turned it over to God 100% and He has blessed us with 8 more! I am so grateful we didn't "quit". I cannot imagine life without these last eight children. Each one is so unique and wonderful!
