Miah broke out his sight word book I made

him last year to help him learn to read.

He can read it no problem now, I think he amazed himself.

While I helped Spiderben with his reading using the

SRA Hooked on Phonics Power Builders...

He read 3 of them and did very well....He can actually read

way better then I thought he could and I think he surprised

himself also because he kept telling me "I can't read."

He lied yes, he can.

At a first grade level so far that we know of....which is very good.

Then they switched and Spiderben was reading

the sight word book (dad came and helped) and was doing excellent..I think he was very

excited to know he could read better than he thought he could.

He loved earning the stickers on the ones he could read and the ones

he would get stuck he would reread and reread until he earned his sticker.

I helped Miah with the power builders and it says

to start at number 1 no matter what level you are...

so we did to work our way up the power builder ladder..

Miah read 5 of them.

Well done!!

In total we spent about 2 hours reading.
