Hello, my name is Sheila and I'm a politcsaholic. It has been 18 hours since I've last signed on to a political news website.

I have tried sooooo many times to cut down on my internet use, but I think the elections may have done the trick! I was not overly thrilled when I woke up this morning, to say the least, and perhaps this is what I needed to sign off for good. I want to keep blogging, and keep writing, but sometimes I just waste so much time on the internet that I don't get things done--you know, like cleaning the house and teaching the kids :).

Well, okay, the kids do get taught. But perhaps not as well as I would like.

Do any of the rest of you really battle with internet or email "addictions"? I'm really going to give this one to God and ask Him to help me focus on what's truly important!

On and off for years and year... Athough, I have been alot better with the internet lately!! Unfortunately I still spend loads of time on the computer because of my new data entry job that I do from home.

The computer/internet can be such a blessing- but of course like anything else- too much of anything is never good (except for God of course). I've read so many blogs lately where women have made the decision to just step away completely from the computer for a week, month, ect. I think alot of people (women at home with young children especially) struggle with overusing something that helps them connect with other adults- whether it be the phone or the internet.

I think its just human to want some adult stimulation. Finding the right balance is the difficult part.

I was going through your blog when I saw "Books I've Written" and I clicked on the "I don't have a headache" link ;)!

I just wanted to compliment you and say how enjoyable the first couple pages have been (as I took advantage of Amazon's preview).

I especially related to the "I'm sick" part of it as this pregnancy has been a trying one!

I think I will have to order it!!! I think this would be not only an enjoyable, but beneficial read for both me and my husband.

I can't tell you how many times I hit refresh on Drudge Tuesday night. LOL.

Yep, the internet *can* get out of hand, for me, real quick. I find that limiting myself to certain hours/times helps manage it.
