I was asked to review a project pack from In the Hands of a Child. We have used many of their project packs (Bees, Butterflies, Pilgrams, Pigs, ect...) in the past and the kids really enjoy this fun way of adding a hands-on dimension to the topics we are studying.
I recieved Benjamin Franklin Project Pack. It is designed for the 3-8th grades and ready to assemble. Color, cut out each of the projects, and paste. As the children do they really learn about this great man in History.
In Benjamin Franklin Project Pack are 71 pages plus FULL COLOR pages showing you how they suggest to put it all together, GREAT help. This pak is full of historical information on each of the activity topics. There are also links to additional information to look up. There are 20 activities included with the project pack. They cover things like vocabulary, timeline, all the inventions he did, all the different jobs held, and much, much more!
The project pack is designed to be a stand alone unit on this great man in American History. You would just add some library books to give additional information or view points if you want to. It is also a great supplement to any curriculum you may be using to cover the American History.
I love that all the mini-books are in the pack, ready to be printed and cut out. It is very easy to print however many copies you need for your family (if you have the ebook version or make copies if you have the paper version). I prefer the ebook style. We like to choose various colors to print the mini-books out on to make the final product colorful and attractive.
In the Hands of a Child also has an Electricity Project Pack that would make a great science lapbook to go along side Benjamin Franklin Project Pack. If you are still wondering if this lapbook project is right for you check out their free samples. I would highly recommend this Project Pack and all the others that In the Hands of a Child offers!
My blog is designed for homeschooling families to teach their children with the Bible and Jesus as the center, the main text. I will give you free ideas on how to do this as well as tell you of products that I have found to help me keep my focus on God. Sign-up today to receive updates on what else I find.
