I explained before a loop is A plan for getting it all done. Not just the first few subjects, or even the most "important" subjects, but also the ones that constantly get set aside. I have spent this entire weekend trying to come up with something that resembles what I would LIKE to get through. So this is it! My final draft! LOL, at least until i make a change or two!
This is the basic loop. On Monday we will start on Science. Then we will work around the loop until our time limit is up. generally we will be working from 8 am to 11 am on this group loop. Then while the older two work on their own personal loops, below, I will work on the two littles and focus on alpha/numeric recognition. Now my goal is to get our loop ALL done by 11 am. And on good days we can easily get it done. It’s the rest that was getting lost. So I have implemented a personal loop as well! Each of the older girls have their own personal subjects that they need to work on. MOST can be accomplished with little or no help from nosey mom. So this will help teach them a bit of responsibility for personal tasks as well as getting typing in each week. Each girl has aset number of times I want the Loop accomplished each week. DD12, must complete it at least 3 times. DD9 only needs to accomplish it twice. LOL, if they get it done on Tuesday however, I’ll be adding to that! ;) Here are their personal schedules.
This is DD9's schedule. She is to accomplish this loop twice each week.
This is DD12's schedule. She is to accomplish this loop three times each week.
Hopefully that will be readable. if not, please be sure to download it using the link to the left or by clicking HERE: http://www.mediafire.com/?mjjgjgh2mwy for a DOCx version.there is also a . PDF version available. Just take a look for it.
By george she got it :0. As I mentioned in the Homeschool group it sort of clicks in your brain and it makes sense. It I think the concept of a loop always running smoothly and without interruptions is not something I will expect every day. But as a beginner myself it is a journey of discovery.

Hey if I hit my head upside a wall enough, I'll figure out it's there! :) I think this will help. It'll at least get some of those elusive tasks done that there never seems time to do. My older two are excited. I put "Times Attack" on their schedules which is a free multiplication PC game. They love it, but we never seem to get to it. So this will get it done once a week at least. AND Typing! LOL. They're ecstatic! :)
It's just a little of this and a little of that. Basically our way of sharing what we're doing. We have been doing MFW (My Father's World)! We'll be bringing in a little of Charlotte Mason and Ruth Beechick. And a WHOLE LOT OF US!
Shiver is our School Mascot. He is an Emperor Penguin that keeps school from getting too serious. He is also where we get the name of our Home School=Shiver Academy.
T8ermomma is me! I'm a mom of 4 kids ages from 3-12! I'm also a Navy Wife of many years who has traveled the world following DH as he serves our Beloved Country-the Great US Of A!
We are an LDS Family doing our best to stay true to our beliefs, keep our family strong, and perhaps even learn more than just ABC's and 123's.
