T H A N K ~ Y O U!!!

Posted in Book of Virtues
Well I am just floored! I just looked and I am super excited to say that we have had 245 downloads!!  With all the wonderful words that has been sent my way and a wonderful award (which I will be posting tonight!) I am just amazed that this has become so popular.

I would like to thank everyone for not only the kind words and emails that I have received but for passing on the word. And just so everyone understands:

You MAY pass on the information to download the BOV project. Please don't try to print it out for anyone but yourself though, it's just too large. So I suggest if they don't have internet access you either put it on a jump drive or a CD that is easily mailed or handed over. There is NO LIMIT to who can use this. I only ask that NO ONE charges for this. It took a lot of time, effort and care to create this and I didn't do it with intentions to sell it.

Now I have a bit of excitement. . .  First we will be having a giveaway! I will be posting a review for SpellQuizzer (www.SpellQuizzer.com) And the creator of the program has gifted me with an extra License  to offer to you my wonderful readers!! So please keep watch tomorrow for the review (or tonight if I get to it!) And be sure to sign up for the giveaway! (Instructions will be listed with the review!)

Anyways, thanks again to the wonderful words that you have bestowed upon me. they have truly made all the work worth it! :)

This is fabulous! You have put so much into this study, and many (including my grandchildren) will benefit from your diligence and service. Thank you so much!

Amen to the prayer of Sister Momofsix. I know this is an unsettling and worrisome time. I know that our Heavenly Father has something in mind for your family, and that He will guide and protect you in your move.

This project looks awesome! Thanks so much for sharing it with those of us that are being affected by the economy so that we can keep homeschooling with an excellent product. I especially like that you provide different choices for different learning types.

Dear Shiver Academy,
Thank you so much for this gorgeous resource that I heard about from the Erskine Family. Wow, this is tremendous. Our curriculum this year is on building character and following virtues through a list. With your ebook I won't have to look anywhere else for a fantastic pile of resources. Thank you for creating this and thank you for giving it to all of us. May God richly bless you.

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful study!! We are in our 1st year of homeschooling after 7 & 5 respective years in public school and are still trying to figure everything out. With me no longer working & my husband providing our only income via a self-run small business, our finances are on the downright painful side.. We strongly believe God has called us to this homeschool life, however, so we are answering & are all learning along the way. Your amazing work here is truly an answered prayer for quality material that we can afford (i.e. free ;). Thank you so much and may you be richly blessed for your generous spirit.

Oct. 28, 2009 - We're done with unit 1!

Posted by bunchofyoders
Just wanted to say thanks again for this great study. My daughter and I really enjoyed it! Just finished up the lapbook on Tuesday and are taking the rest of the week off before starting unit 2 on Monday. I have been spacing it out over three weeks instead of two, this just works better for us. I posted some pictures of what we did on our blog http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/bunchofyoders/739917/ if you're interested or have time. There's a bunch of pictures of what we've been doing since Labor Day, and down toward the bottom is a section on this unit study. I think I forgot to link to you, I'll have to check that!

This is our first experience with lapbooking, but we loved it. Can't wait for my own ideas to surface and to implement them in our homeschool. Thanks again!!

About Me

It's just a little of this and a little of that. Basically our way of sharing what we're doing. We have been doing MFW (My Father's World)! We'll be bringing in a little of Charlotte Mason and Ruth Beechick. And a WHOLE LOT OF US! Shiver is our School Mascot. He is an Emperor Penguin that keeps school from getting too serious. He is also where we get the name of our Home School=Shiver Academy. T8ermomma is me! I'm a mom of 4 kids ages from 3-12! I'm also a Navy Wife of many years who has traveled the world following DH as he serves our Beloved Country-the Great US Of A! We are an LDS Family doing our best to stay true to our beliefs, keep our family strong, and perhaps even learn more than just ABC's and 123's.
