An Award for Shiver Academy!

I have been blessed with an award! I was very excited to read my email the other day to find an award waiting for me. I do have a few rules I have to follow though in order to accept this award. So please bare with me and join in the fun!

This award is coming in from Tajuana from Cross Rhodes Acedemy . She has several things of iinterest there (Such as the 12 Days of Christmas lapbooK!) And MANY recipes using that wonderful miracle called the CROCK POT! Please check out her blog if you get a minute.

Now on to the rules!

1. Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link.

2. Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.

So now on to my Nominees. I'm not sure if I will have 15 or not, but we'll give it a good run and add to it as i can!

I don't know if this is TECHNICALLY a blog, but I have jsut found it and it's an amazing thing to check out!

2, Fine Phonics
This blog has some great information on Phonics and early reading.

3. Tamarind Phonics
This also has many phonics and reading ideas and lessons.

4. Principled Mom
This has some wonderful articles on many different things. Raising good cooks is one and another is how to create manipulaives on a small to nill budget. Fabulous stuff!

5. The Homeschooling Blog
This one has some great articles on freebies, products that you can use, also some general ideas on just homeschool related stuff.

6. Homeschool Math
This has some great videos on teaching MATH! Such as the one posted this week on Interger subtraction!!

Well That's what I have so far, I'll be adding more as I go! Please feel free to mention a few that I haven't come across yet!!

Your blog is sooo cooool...LOL...The Book of Virtues Lesson Plans is a wonderful little gem itself. I have several ladies in my local group that were looking for something like that..and wha la..here it is :o)

Thank you for the Book of Virtues download. That is very kind of you. I'm sorry to hear about your family's present difficulties, but one thing I know for sure is this: "All things (A-L-L, ALL!) work together for good to them who love the Lord, to those who are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28) Isn't that a comforting (and challenging!) promise to hold on to?

About Me

It's just a little of this and a little of that. Basically our way of sharing what we're doing. We have been doing MFW (My Father's World)! We'll be bringing in a little of Charlotte Mason and Ruth Beechick. And a WHOLE LOT OF US! Shiver is our School Mascot. He is an Emperor Penguin that keeps school from getting too serious. He is also where we get the name of our Home School=Shiver Academy. T8ermomma is me! I'm a mom of 4 kids ages from 3-12! I'm also a Navy Wife of many years who has traveled the world following DH as he serves our Beloved Country-the Great US Of A! We are an LDS Family doing our best to stay true to our beliefs, keep our family strong, and perhaps even learn more than just ABC's and 123's.
