In order to facilitate our Co-op for the College of Homemaking, I needed to find a way to make a group atmosphere so that we can chat, share, and gain tips and advice. So I have created a yahoo group (at least for now) so that we can enjoy working together on this.

Please click the link above, if you are on my home page, or click here: Shiver Academy Yahoo Group in order to join the group. once you have been approved, you will be given the option of creating an album. This is highly suggested. Otherwise, how can we work together if we don't share what we do? It is NOT a requirement however. if you don't have the ability to upload pictures, then obviously this wouldn't be an option for you. It's not a big deal if you can't, please don't "not join" because of this suggestion!!!

This group is not JUST for the co-op of sorts. It's for anyone wishing to chat about homeschooling, or homemaking! ;) If you would like to share input on the book of virtues study, on workboxes, lapbooking, notebooking, etc. please join us! Also, I am thinking of having a book discussion later this school year (after we have moved in and the dust starts settling!) so if you would like to join in that, please do!

Keep in mind I created the group tonight, so the promised files are still being moved over!! :) Please be patient while I move things! You CAN add files you think other's would find useful, please be sure you have permission to add them however!

I want to join but there is no link?I read through Google Reader,but I clicked through and read on the actual blog and still no link,help please:) I really want to join,LOL:)

Ok I didn't realize that when I posted the yahoo group link it wouldn't stay at the top of the page for all the pages instead of just for the "home page." So I have added a link in to my blog entry about it. That will work until I figure a way to keep it at the top, or move it to the right. If that doesn't work, here is the addy you can just cut and paste:

About Me

It's just a little of this and a little of that. Basically our way of sharing what we're doing. We have been doing MFW (My Father's World)! We'll be bringing in a little of Charlotte Mason and Ruth Beechick. And a WHOLE LOT OF US! Shiver is our School Mascot. He is an Emperor Penguin that keeps school from getting too serious. He is also where we get the name of our Home School=Shiver Academy. T8ermomma is me! I'm a mom of 4 kids ages from 3-12! I'm also a Navy Wife of many years who has traveled the world following DH as he serves our Beloved Country-the Great US Of A! We are an LDS Family doing our best to stay true to our beliefs, keep our family strong, and perhaps even learn more than just ABC's and 123's.
