Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. ~ Proverbs 22:6

God's Simple Plan Of Salvation

All Have Sinned
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

There Is A Payment For Sin
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death;

But Wait , There Is Good News!
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I Know I Am Lost ! How Can I Be Saved ?
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
If God is dealing with your heart, pray this pray aloud: God I am a sinner. I ask you to forgive me of my sin. I believe in my heart and confess with my lips that on the third day you raised Jesus from the dead. Come into my heart Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I surrender my life to you and will live according to the scriptures. In the name of JESUS I pray, AMEN

    128- Does She or Doesn’t She (Clairol Shampoo)

    Memory Verse
    And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
    (Genesis 2:20-23 KJV)

    Introduction: Does She or Doesn’t She (Clairol Shampoo)The world sees Christianity as a male dominant religion. It’s seen as a religion dominated by men, for men. But we know that God loves women - God created woman, and has used women to bring about His plan for the world.

    Assignment: Tell the world about your favourite woman in the Bible. Who is she? How did the world judge her? How does God see her? How did God use her? How has this woman affected your life? How does she inspire you to walk out your relationship with God?

    I have to say my favorite woman in the Bible is the Woman with the issue of blood. Her faith astounds me sometimes. She was so sure that if she could just touch the hem of His garment (Tzit-tzit - fringe of His Tallit) she would be healed. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;(Malachi 4:2 KJV) I find that we are all like her in one way. She spent all she had to try and be healed and we try to do everything we can first before we ever give God the chance to fix it. The Scripture tells her story much better than I can .

    And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
    (Matthew 9:20-22 KJV)
    And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
    (Luke 8:43-48 KJV)

    I love the depiction of this woman in this painting by Simon Dewey.

    Great post, Nikki! I love that story, too.

    I read a study one time about the fringe of Jesus' robe. There's a place in the Torah that says that when the Messiah comes, he'll have the power to heal in the fringe of his garments. So, the woman reaching out to touch the fringe was basically saying, "I believe this man is the Messiah." Like you said -- great faith!

    Have a great weekend!

    Here's another picture that was given to me recently Nikki

    Yeshua is walking down one of those slim streets in Jerusalem, the wind from the hills blowing and channeled through the buildings draws up his Tallit, up over the heads of the throng who follow him. The woman, steps back, knowing she's unclean, tucks herself into the cleft of a doorway as He passes by. After He has passed, she reaches up over the heads of the crowd, and the wind whips the tzitzit in her direction, and her hand brushes the tassles and again they're whipped away.

    We sometimes think it's about HOLDING ON.. like a life raft.. for dear life.. but it isn't.. His power isn't a life raft.. His Power is HEALING - it's Miracle, we don't even have words to explain it.. but her fingers brushing those strings.. proof that SHE KNEW HE WAS THE YHVH RAPHA.. the Great Physician..

    great post Nikki

    I loved reading your post...I wonder if the woman's name is mentioned anywhere at all. I love the picture you posted too. It's all so relevant.

    I love this woman! and the painting is awesome. Don't you just love the look of desperation on her face. She is bound and determined to reach out and touch him...even if it is just barely, she KNOWS He will heal her!

    Awesome post!
