The Chicks Have Hatched!

Posted in Journal

Dominique Hen and Chick

Do read about it at www.fairhillsfarm.com/weblog!  It is so sweet to watch a mother hen raise her chicks.

In case I don't have time to explain later...I am transferring my blog to a wordpress on some hosting that we own.  You will know when it has been changed.

Well, this post has more brevity than I'm generally capabable of, but I don't think I have anything else to say.

Aww, those are cute chicks! I'm sure they will grow up to lay some nice eggs.

RYC: Ah, you are more noble then I. Surely I have sinned! Lol. I have a lot of friends who are spoiler free for Narnia movies, but I can't do that to myself.

I agree, and another thing. Even if they do get a few negative reviews from people thinking it is sexist, it really isn't going to make a dent in their profits.

Plus Susan stabbing people with arrows is pretty dumb. Those arrows couldn't get up enough momentum to go through even light armor. She didn't even carry a side arm into battle which is what all archers do.

Wow! You've been a busy blogger, and I'm real sorry I haven't been by in forever. Though life may actually seem dull sometimes it's always packed! ;-)

That's so cool that the chickens hatched! We would really like to have some farm animals, but it looks like we're going to have to wait a little longer for that. I do, on the other hand, officially have a growing garden here at our new house. I shall post about sometime (though I can't guarantee it will be soon).

Have a lovely day Amanda!

We had chickens once upon a time - actually, 2 different sets of them. The 1st set layed *some* eggs, then eventually died. There were only 4 of them to start with. The 2nd set was supposed to be much better at laying eggs, and there were around 17 of them to start with. They died within a few months without ever laying a single egg! That was our last experience with chickens. :-)
Hope you're having a great summer so far! Has anything new happened with your script?
Love,
Briana

RYC: Yep, that is the website. I really hope we can make a difference with it.

There are a few pro life teen sites out there, but most of them are either very minor scale or they aren't running at all.

Yeah, Obama bugs me. I'll reply more on the forum.

Got to run,
Eric

About Amanda Read

You may simply call me a writer, the eldest of the 8 (going on 9) Read children – many of which you will find roaming about the blogosphere. A 19 year old Christian homeschool graduate, I have been Classically educated through the teaching principles of Charlotte Mason. I have been a military child ever since I can remember, toured the nation and the world, and upon my father’s retirement from the U.S. Army, my family and I have been shaping our new land into a homestead known as Fair Hills Farm. In 2004, my mother discovered the fascinating history of Dr. Harvey W. Wiley and the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906. After years of researching and writing, I completed a full length historical drama screenplay titled The Crusading Chemist in March 2008 and recently completed a revision of it. I am now a college student majoring in History and minoring in Political Science at Jacksonville State University and in between studying, working on literary and art projects and living big family farm life I hope to maintain a quest for truthful research through Luke Historians and Not Just An Opinion. My constant prayer is to glorify the LORD far beyond my finite imagination! Blogging Since: January 2006
