NutraSweet (aspartame) & Splenda (sucralose)
|
This will be fairly short and to the point.
I have been researching a bit on these two "sugar substitutes". There is a lot out there regarding the danger of these products. I have had health problems that I have associated with each of these products. The research I have done has confirmed that the health problems could very well be linked.
A few of the symptoms were:
PANIC-TYPE AGITATION
DIZZY SPELLS
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
KIDNEY PAIN
TIRED ALL THE TIME
LACK OF ENERGY
INSOMNIA
These are the symptoms I'VE had. There are many things that others have experienced. Please do some research on these yourself and see how they could be affecting your life.

Hi Melani!
I wanted to thank you for checking out my brand new blog, then I noticed that yours is brand new too! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one new at this! I loved reading your testimony and your entry about homeschooling. Boy, you weren't kidding when you said you had to make adjustments through the years! :)
I'm also interested in learning more about the Splenda issue. I've been using Splenda for the past year or so, under the assumption that it was a very safe alternative to natural sugar. Now I'm worried, since I've been using it my entire pregnancy. In your research, did you come across any information on use during pregnancy? I think I'll be doing some of my own research today!
Thanks for the info!

Hi from the UK
Thanks for posting on my blog. I don't always check back at previous things I have written but I did today. I read recently the Four Love languages of marriage and it opened up my eyes to alot of things I hadn't thought about before.
I'm like you I love singing especially worship songs. One of the things I really want to have a go at as well is cake decorating. My mother in law lent me a book with all sorts of wonderful designs particularly for kids birthaday cakes. If only I had the time. Four young children and a life outside home schooling does it exist?????
I will put you on my friends list if that is ok with you. I would love to check back and see how you are getting on.
Love Deb

I cannot use Splenda at all. I get blackouts? Go figure. Also with Aspartme I get shaky and feel sick. I just try to stay away from them as I've learned that the chemical processing of these can be toxic. I also believe everything should be taken in moderation except Splenda. I enjoyed reading your blog.

I just read you comment on my blog today. Sorry about that.
Yes I would love to be on your friends list.
I read you testimony. Isnt' God awesome?!?!? I love music also. Growing up, my mom, sister and I used to sing and go to different churches. I was also in the youth choir. I sing alto and love harmonizing with others. I havent' been able to sing for awhile because every time I do, it feels like a knife in my tonsils. Don't know if it is them or sinuses
I don't like aspartame either. I have never gotten used to the taste.
Well, hope you have a good weekend.

bravo for bringing this issue up. I used to drink the crap (excuse my language) for years and now I have severe food allergies. Not only can I not have splenda and aspartame, add sorbitol to the list and any other chemical sweetner. It has extended to sugar, flour, red meat and dairy. I now, because I used these destructive chemicals, must live on fruits, veggies, beans, lentils, chicken and fish in their most organic forms. I can sweeten with honey because it isn't processed much. I do have to admit, I've lost weight. Be careful what you consume. You WILL pay for it later in life.
