2009-Mar-6 - Special Needs~Learning Differences?? RESOURCES here!

I don't say this often, but I have two special learners.

Are you dealing in frustration and dismay over what is an endless series of issues in learning or JUST KNOWING HOW to teach your little one?

I have been there!

I am always reading up on ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities of all sorts from auditory processing to anxiety, visual tracking, eye hand coordination, fine motor skills, language learning processing and more! As part of TOS Crew 2009 I was given the opportunity to review two products from a professional in the field of learning,  Bonnie Terry, M. Ed., BCET .  She is a Learning Disabilities Specialist, Board Certified Educational Therapist for and has after thirty-five plus years of working in the field developed her own methods of helping educators and parents teach and educate their special learners at home or in the classroom.  She is director of Bonnie Terry Learning which is an after school learning center with a diagnostic approach to solving learning issues.  Go HERE to see her impressive bio for yourself.  I am IMPRESSED!

I have utilized many specialists for my kids, and Bonnie Terry is a national leader in the field.  She offers on her website HERE many resources that you can read as well as a eNewsletter with homework tips AND other products that are awesome! You can sign up for her tips which are very very good.  She is also releasing a new book on that will be a screaning tool for both parents and educators so that specific problems and learning issues can be identified.  WOW! This is exciting for the homeschool world.  I have an opinion about homeschooling and special needs kids...I happen to believe, not that I've polled you all, but that there are many many "different" learners tucked into the homes and hearts of loving parents not identified in the public schools because WE CAN MEET THEIR NEEDS right here at home without all the labels, angst, hassles and troubles of traditional (uh? homeschooling should be called traditional-LEARNING BEGINS AT HOME, right?) education.  Sorry, rant over, but this is a subject I am well aware of AND have dealt with for many years as a mother and home educator.  I have personal experience in the public arena of my child not getting all that she needed to become educated~successful...OK...what's that mean?  Success might not mean learning to some...and this is how I've used it! So with Bonnie Terry, I am sooo excited to tell you about her and what she offers us to help us in our journey.

We received two wonderful products from her, both are absolutely JUST what we need to help us on our way!

We received two wonderful products from her, both are absolutely JUST what we need to help us on our way! The Sentence Zone is the neatest game for sentence building.  We played it and loved what it does in helping a child who has difficulty finding the words to see a word bank and use them in creative ways.  This game has multi-levels.  AND it's fun! This is a Win-Win!

An awesome resource for writing!
AND she offers so much more!
Go see for yourself HERE

These are Fantastic Resources!
