2009-Mar-8 - Speaking Japanese? My Daughter is LOVING Auralog!

I never dreamed my daughter would want to learn Japanese! For about four years she has a fascination with Japanese animation and has been learning the art form and some of the culture. She even found herself learning some of the words as she viewed many of the programs she found to watch not translated into English. She REALLY wanted to learn this very difficult language, and I was a little worried because I thought all along because of our previous work in Spanish that if given the opportunity, she would want to further her knowledge there. But no, she wanted to learn Japanese. When I was given the opportunity to choose a language for the TOS Crew review of Auralog~Tell Me More language learning system, I requested the ONE she would be so excited to learn. I am so thankful to have gotten this opportunity for her, and she's taken to it like a fish in water!
This girl LOVES her headset and the language recognition built into the program for her to hear herself with immediate feedback of her pronunciations is amazing. She is learning it and loving it so very much! She works the system which is a DVD system, with headset and microphone built in together (she looks like a telemarketer while she is working, and I hear her repeating the words she hears! ALL I can say is this is AMAZING! She is motivated and absolutely loving Tell Me More! Built into it are three levels and voice recognition with loads of exercises and cultural information on Japan.
My daughter wants to translate these cartoons~she says this is very big to do! WHADDA I KNOW? But that they are very popular with many non Japanese speakers and translators are needed!
This is homeschooling at it's best! Here I have a child who is motivated and a wonderful curriculum of foreign language taking her to excellence in independent learning!
Auralog~Tell Me More!
Go see it here!
The Crew got to choose diffferent languages. I don't know if anyone else got Japanese, but if you are looking for a different language, they carry many others, and my Crew Mates are buzzing HERE!
We are loving Tell Me More! Go see for yourself!
Blessings,
