If the world was tough when we were kids, wow! look what our children face today! Jagger with his "sex, drugs and rock & roll" are nothing compared to the challenges kids face. My children can't even sit in church with other kids and not be challenged in their moral stance! Whew! Discussions, actions, beliefs...the world is VERY different from when I was their age. . .
Generations of Virtue (go here) is a group that works to present Christian items to help kids make the godly decision to live a moral and pure life. Their products are many to bring kids to understanding the moral values that a Holy God desires for His children.
I have a son and a daughter. What a joy to know Generations of Virtue is concerned with kid's moral compass to get good moral items into their hands and hearts! What a relief to my soul. . .an answer to my prayers.
It's a dangerous world out there! Diseases and ruin seek to destroy our children. Without good moral and God honoring materials to teach our children the TRUTH about God's plan for moral purity the results can be devastating for their lives. Many of my middle school friends ended in the snares of drugs, alcohol and even were teen mothers. I KNOW what hurt can come without the Lord for young people. I saw it first hand!
PLEASE look into Generations of Virtue for your young person. Children are never too young really to begin the discussions concerning their moral choices and lifestyle. I tell my children, "the choices you make today, CAN and WILL effect you the rest of your life." This is not to frighten them, but it's a reality that they must face! Being at the wrong place at the wrong time can really wreck a life!
We got to reviewWhat a fantastic book for a son to read! It really gives a boy ages 10-14 that teach our boys sexual integrity! We focus so much on our girls, but we must train our sons to be God followers in this area as well! It's a good read for your son alone or there is a parent guide for a Dad to do with his son as well as a guide just for the young man.
