2009-Apr-22 - Life on the Crew! TOS Crew Maiden Voyage 2008-09
Getting to work with all the wonderful ladies and gent of the Maiden Voyage of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine's Crew Steering Homeschoolers Towards Great Homeschooling Products...it's like getting a HUGE chocolate bar or for me...the biggest bowl of ice cream~my favorite flavor with chocolate soft shell...yum!
It's been so much fun to be introduced to so many new and exciting people with their gifts to offer the world of homeschooling! When I was chosen I was giddy with delight, and then came all the packages in the mail...the mailman became a bringer of gifts for us! I never really knew just WHAT would come in those packages/wrappers/boxes/downloadables~ but whoohooo...opened and inspected there was some awesome stuff that came into our hands!
In reflection:
1. I had a great time reviewing and learning about all the products.
2. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the TOS staff~great ladies every one!
3. I found it challenging and fun all at the same time! Sometimes there was loads to look at all at once! A challenge for sure!
4. The friendship factor definitely developed as we all worked together to discuss everything from extensions of the product to our favorite recipe or prayer needs.
5. All the neat stuff...wow! AND the generosity of our vendors! They were just awesome to work with~each and every one!
I am moving onward to some new things in my future, but the TOS Crew will be around next year reviewing homeschool products and introducing us all to some great things for our homeschools with new Crew Mates and some from this current voyage called First Mates to help along the way. . .
I wish the best to the New Crew and First Mates for a second successful voyage in the coming year!Well, it's that time when a job is done, the day is passing, and it's time to say see ya around! I look forward to bumping back into folks in the future as we all continue on our given journeys from the Lord!
