2009-Jun-19 - Just When I Need Him Most!
I am so thankful that God is an ever abiding presence in my life. . .Oh NOW I am not perfect by any stretch so don't go thinking that I am some kind of smug sister who doesn't know her weaknesses~I do know them! But it's God who really keeps me going. Today the hymn, "Just When I Need Him Most" came to mind, "just when I need Him he is my guide, Just when I need Him, right by my side..." Oh yeah, and believe me, sometimes I NEED Him, do you? Yeah, we all do need the Lord.
I had the joy of sharing a Scripture verse that means a lot to me. It keeps my relationship open with the Lord despite my failures as a person, wife, parent, pastor's wife, friend, daughter...any failure in my life to live just as He wants me to live. I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteouness."
WHAT A PROMISE~
If I confess my sins or short comings to God, He promises to clean them up and forgive me! I can bank on Him to do as He has promised!
So when I am wondering just how I'm gonna keep on keeping on, I remember I John 1:9 and that He is a forgiving and loving GOD~ JUST WHEN I NEED HIM MOST!
