Have you guys seen The Schoolhouse Planner that has just been put out by The Old Schoolhouse? Oh my goodness! I am in love with this fantastic planner! Anyone that knows me knows how much I enjoy keeping lists. The problem with my list keeping is that I have too many lists, so my organization becomes disorganized very quickly. Now, I won’t have to keep a million separate lists in a million different places for a million different things!
Of course, it has all of the typical things that you would expect in a planner for home school teachers- monthly calendars (with blocks plenty big enough to write all of our appointments on), forms to plan your yearly goals, forms to keep track of grades and forms for field trip planning. And, while all of that is great, TOS went a step further and added so much more! Great recipes (I have already tried two of the recipes, because I just couldn’t resist!), useful tools (like the periodic table), weekly menu planning, a log to track anything I loan out or borrow from other people, chore charts, a VERY detailed budget chart, a prayer journal, an address book and I could just go on and on! I can get rid of my tiny little calendar book, (that I lose frequently), my notebooks that I use for scheduling and all of the other clutter, and have one very nice, streamlined planner.
When this was first e-mailed to me, I just could not believe how much was in this planner. I opened the program and clicked on some titles in the index (it’s interactive, so I was taken right to the page I wanted to see first), and had to finally walk away to prepare dinner when I realized that my poor children were starving because I was taking too long, enjoying flipping through the planner, LOL. Finally, I just printed it off to put it in a binder so that I could get started with all of my organizing. I was so thrilled that I have already filled in as much as I possibly can to take my family through to Christmas break, lol. My kids have been laughing at me for being so excited about it, but they won’t be laughing come fall, when they realize that I will never again forget about an assignment that they need to turn in to me, hahaha.
Now I’d like to give you a chance to win your very own copy of this planner. That’s right, those fine folks at TOS gave me permission to offer a free copy of The Schoolhouse Planner to the person that wins the contest running on this blog. Cool, huh?
It’s really simple to join in the contest. Just write a post on your blog about this contest, post a link to my blog and then come here and drop me a comment telling me that you want to be entered, and that’s it! Next Sunday (July 6th), right after church, I will come home and copy all of the names off of here and drop them into a bucket. Ella will then pull out the winning name, and TOS will send that person a free copy of The Schoolhouse Planner.
What are you waiting for? You know you want to win! J |
