We officially ended our school year on Friday, so I'm ready to face the summer projects. I'm trying to be a realist this year. I have just a few projects planned that absolutely must get done:
1) First and foremost, paint the kitchen.

2) Next, the sunporch must be straightened and made clutter-free.

3) Figure out how to use my new space.

So those are the projects. This week I have two goals. First, I'm going to get the keys to my parents' new house (they are still in New York working toward putting their house their on the market) and take a couple of loads over there. And second, I'm going to finish getting the last chunks of wallpaper off. (And as a separate goal, I'm going to get this year's school books and such put away!)
So tell me about your summer projects!

Your sunporch looks like a great room with so many possibilities!! I'm glad to see though that I'm not the only one who uses a nice room as a dumping ground!! hehehe ;-)

I hope to sleep there again and again and again, but not for two years probably.
second, I am completely devastated I didn't see myself on yonder fridge. surely if one was to scroll down farther ...
also, you said "their" when you meant to say "there" and that totally cracked me up.

What color are you painting the kitchen? I'm painting a bunch of rooms this summer (this is our last week of "school") - kitchen, dining room, kids' room and my/dh's room. That, and organizing our former garage into a play/school room are my summer projects!

My looming project right now isn't quite on the grand scale as yours, but it is daunting all the same. I have magazines piled up and they are starting to take over my bedroom. I like to go through them and tear out the articles, recipes, projects that I want to save and file them in a notebook for future reference. But, I have let so many accumulate, that they may just all end up in the trash. A sad ending for them :-(

you are boycotting having her on your fridge until she remembers to give me one of her prayer cards. We used to be so close, you know. Now she's this *missionary* and she's all "I want to sleep in TN".... she never asks to sleep at my house! (of course that could have something to do with my 7 children using up all the bed space, but whatever.)

Okay, I haven't made plans for summer projects yet, but I'm now inspired to organize our *one* room. I might even be brave and post a before picture like you.

Kristina, actually, YES, your photo is on the fridge. I even thought when I cropped the photo, "Aww, I'm cropping out the Campbell's..." Best Sister, I am sorry but Tennessee is just so downright lovable, as are we. But I'm sure you are, too!
