In Tassie...finally!

We arrived in Tassie on Wednesday 13th December at 7am. The trip was great, the kids (and us) totally enjoyed the view as we departed from Port Melbourne at sunset. It was a lovely site for the eyes. :) I'll try and get some photo links up today (if i can find the camera charger). It was pretty smooth for the first couple of hours...then we got out of the heads!!! Next time we will make sure the kids are in bed and asleep by the time we get there. It got quite rocky, and Mabel inparticular wasn't feeling too well. So we put a movie on the laptop to destract them, and they did better. Mabel fell asleep while watching and Zac said about half way through that he was going to go to sleep, so we turned it off, and Bre went to sleep then too. We had a "room with a view" otherwise known as a porthole. It was just gorgeous, not the room, but the view. We were overlooking the very front centre of the boat, so we got to see the sunrise over the horizon, and Tassie!! Lots more photo's. When we arrived we had breaky at Devenport, then headed straight down to our friends, Nyree and Darryn, at Rowella, 30 mins north of Launceston, on the Tamar River. And there we stayed for the next 3 weeks. Well, almost. We did make it to Hobart for 2 nights, to have a quick look around. We decided we liked the Launceston area more, so after New Year we started looking for a house to rent. In the meantime, we had Zac's 5th Birthday, and Christmas, and New Year, so our time there was pretty busy. We had fun staying with friends, and it was good for the kids to have friends to play with, it helped their transition into Tassie a lot. We are very blessed to have such wonderful friends, who let us stay with them, and welcomed us into their home, (and taught us all they had learnt in their 6 weeks of living in Tassie). :)
