January 7, 2010 - Guilty Conscience

It's almost Friday! This week has been such a long and stressful week that I am super glad that the weekend is almost here. This was the first week back to school and for most people that means getting to sleep at a normal time, which is a hard thing to do after staying up at till a ridiculous time in the morning.
Also, the end of the semester is coming up, which is putting me under some stress. I am trying to get all the homework that was late turned it and making sure I can do the best I can on my present assignments. I am hoping that I pass this semester with all A's!

I decided on this post I was going to post my short narrative. This story is only 1,000 words and I wasn't able to describe some things or give as much detail into certain things because the story is pretty short. Considering the word limit on this that it turned out well.

Guilty Conscience

       A sharp scream broke the silence of the darkness. “What are you doing? Leave me alone.” 

            A man with a deep calm drawl replied, “Well, Jaylynn, I just can’t do that.”

“How do you know my name?” Jaylynn yelled.

“I have been watching you for awhile, I know where you live and where you work, you’re an interesting person,” the man exclaimed.

Disgusted, Jaylynn  screeched, “You sick twisted creep.” Jaylynn started running as fast as she could. The man chuckled to himself, “Oh, Jaylynn I wish you hadn’t said that.” Jaylynn let out a shriek and everything went quiet.

Jaylynn’s eyes fluttered open, her head was throbbing and she felt cold. She wasn’t aware of how many hours had passed. She slowly sat up, her head throbbing worse than before. She began looking around, her surroundings were unfamiliar; she appeared to be in a small dimly-lit room.  She began to feel her way along the floor when her hand touched a puddle. She lifted her hand from the puddle and focused on it momentarily.

Her hand had a reddish hint to it. Exhausted, she thought nothing of it and went to dry her hand on her shirt, something felt wrong, her shirt was sticky. She looked down at her shirt, it was covered in blood. She felt sick, she wanted to burst out in tears, terrified, she started to scream, “What happened to me? Who would do this to me?”  She burst into tears and cradled her head in her hands and muttered, “Someone please help me…”

A sudden burst of pain shot through her skull, she started rubbing her temples in hope it would relieve the pain, but her temples felt wet and sticky. Suddenly, she realized the puddle was blood and it had come from her. See started searching around the room for a mirror or object she could see her reflection in.  She turned to her left and saw a mirror with a note saying “You are mine.”

She walked closer to the mirror, terrified at her reflection. Carved all over her bloody face were the words “You are mine.” She fell to the floor in a heap and started sobbing.  

Approximately two hours later the door opened. A tall, medium-built man appeared in the room, his hair was the color of midnight and his eyes picked you apart in seconds. He confidently walked closer to her until he right in front of her. His dark eyes locked with hers for what seemed like hours, but in actualality was seconds. . Courteously, the man said, “Good evening, my name is Seth, I see that you have seen yourself based upon the terrified look on your face.   Every time you look at your face in the mirror it will be a reminder that you will always be mine. ”

 With a look of repugnance, Jaylynn screamed in his face, “Just leave me alone!”   Her captor replied, “Sorry Jaylynn, I can’t do that. You see Jaylynn every person has done something horrible in their life, some people admit it, they apologize for their actions, and others don’t, they think they did nothing and those people don’t deserve to live on this planet. Those people rejected me; they hated me before they even knew me. Those people made me into who I am today and those people have died just like you will.”

  Jaylynn was shocked at Seth’s response. How could someone so calm, smart, and sophisticated be so evil at the same time? In the sweetest manner Jaylynn could muster she said, “I am sorry about what happened, but be a better person, forgive and walk away. Don’t dwell in the past.”  Her captor asked her, “Do you know the definition of revenge Jaylynn? Revenge is to take vengeance on or inflict punishment for a wrong behalf.  That is what I am doing, taking revenge, it is a great feeling it is a great feeling, you should try it sometime. Jaylynn, I want you to think, think hard about anything wrong that you have done.  Are you sorry for what you did? If not, your punishment for a non-guilty conscience will be unbearable.”

Jaylynn knew revenge was not a great feeling after the revenge was taken you felt horrible and she knew from experience. It seemed like only yesterday, everything went wrong. Her family was being torn apart from her mother’s death. Everyone in her family pretended that it never happened; their father started drinking and saying horrible things about their mother. He would curse her name Jaylynn couldn’t believe it, after all the things her mother had done for him up to her dying days and this is how he repaid her. She had to do something; she couldn’t let her father talk that way about her mother. That night she took a gun from her father’s gun cabinet, walked into her father’s room, he looked so innocent when he was sleeping but she had to do it, she pulled the trigger. One bullet through the heart then she dropped the gun and ran. She ran from what she did, her pain, her anger and she never looked back…until now. 

Jaylynn’s thoughts were interrupted by Seth’s calm voice, “Do you have a guilty conscience Jaylynn? Jaylynn looked him in the eyes and said, “No.” With a look of disgust and pity Seth took the knife he was holding and slowly started to carve “You are mine” into Jaylynn’s neck. Jaylynn let out a blood curdling scream, the pain was unbearable, she could barely make her voice audible, “I did it, I killed him in cold blood, I didn’t think he deserved a second chance and he didn’t get one. I’m sorry….

 The pain stopped, she looked around, she was laying in her bed, covered in sweat, not a mark on her skin. She realized her guilty conscience had done this to her, she couldn’t keep lying to herself she had to deal with the truth and that needed to start now.

January 5, 2010 - OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Okay well first of all, Happy New Year!!!!!!! Can you believe it is 2010? I sure can't, this year has gone by so quickly it isn't even funny. So what is the one thing people usualy make on New Year's Day? They make resolutions, so this year one of my many resolutions were to stay more active on HSB, I really enjoy the people on this site, they are so nice and amazing and when I was blogging more often I really enjoyed it! One of the other resolutions was to stay off of facebook so I can focus on school, planning my career, work, and HSB! So hopefully you guys will see me on here more often! I would love to hear about all the resolutions you guys made and how you plan on keeping them!

On to a new topic now.... How was your guys and girls Christmas? What did you all get and did you spend Christmas with family,friends, or both? My Christmas was very nice, it was probably one of the best Christmases I have had. Not because of the gifts, we actually got less this year due to the recession but it was still just wonderful. It was a lot of fun, we had a game day later in the afternoon and we had friends and some family come up and there were lots of laughter and it was great!

During my winter break from school I have been increasing my knowledge on different jobs teens can do and some ways to make some extra cash! I thought about writing a post about that if you are interested, so let me know!
Also, I have been blessed to have an amazing English teacher in school and have learned a lot from him. He has opened my eyes to a different type of English and I just love English now. One of the assignments was to right a short narrative, which is like a two page story. I ended up writing a short narrative called "Guilty Conscience". I would love to post it on here for you guys to read if you would like. One last thing, if you guys have any stories or poems or anything you would like me to read and give you some feedback on I would love to do that for you! I have a lot of fun doing stuff like that!

September 1, 2009 - I Grew!!!!

Hey Girls..... and Guys,

Okay so I have this fetish about my height, I am pretty short I am only 5' 3" and one of my goals in life is to be taller then my mother who is 5' 4" and since I haven't grown in like a year I thought I was going be stuck at the height of 5' 3" which was quite depressing.  The last week or so I have been feeling like I have gotten taller and I was like, "Mom you are going to have to measure me because I am sure I have grown". This morning my dad ended up measuring me ( I think he got tired of me talking about how I thought I was taller, lol)  and I have grown a 1/4 of an inch and I was so excited I was like oh my goodness, I have grown, lol! So for you girls out there who are shorter and think that you have no hope of growing any taller, well there is still a possibility that when you are 14 that you just might grow a 1/4 of an inch!!!

Tomorrow I have yearbook and Photo ID pictures at the school I am going to! The school that I am going to is a closed campus so they have to take pictures for photo ID so they make sure that some random stranger is walking around the school which would be a safety issue. 

Some people have messaged me and asked if I am still going to be posting on my blog since I am going to a school and to answer that, yes I will still be posting on this blog! I love homeschool blogger! It is a great social network and the people here are awesome and I have such great friends on here!!! Besides I will still be partly homeschooled! I am only going to school three days a week and I still have assignments and such that I have to do at home!

So I was thinking about doing some reviews on books, music, or movies. I was wondering which of those categories would be most interesting for your guys? The reviews would be in my own words about lets say books that I have read and recommend or music that I listen to and like or dislike and movies that I watch and I think they are good and I recommend or I think that they aren't the best movie! I am leaving the option up to you guys what category you would you prefer!

Well thats all I am going to post about for now!!!! Now I am off to commenting....

August 27, 2009 - Wonderful Week

Hey Everyone,

I want to start out saying that I added some photos to my photo album, if you would like to check those out that would awesome!

My week has been so awesome, I have had one of the best weeks I have had in a long time, its been a week of new friendships, relying on my bestest guy friends ever, starting my blog back up, getting comments from my wonderful HSB friends, its just been a wonderful week and I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life and I have just had such a wonderful week ! How has everyones week been? I hope its been fabulous!

Yesterday I got my hair trimmed and layered, I really like it, I got it cut so its looks nice for school! And then after I got my hair cut my Aunt, my cousin Brittany, and I went to the mall and we went to some stores and looked at baby clothes, my cousin Brittany is going to have a baby girl so we were looking at adorable baby girl clothes!!! After we did that we went to Payless Shoes and I got a pair of boots and Brittany got a pair of flats!! After the mall, we went out to lunch for my aunt's anniversary, that was a lot of fun! Then we went to Brittany's ultrasound appointment, that went very well! Her due date was bumped up to December 2nd which isn't to bad. The baby appeared to be doing great, Brittany's doctor is going to go over the pictures they took of the baby and go over the pictures on Brittany's next doctor's appointment, please pray that the doctor doesn't find anything abnormal and that the baby looks like she is growing just fine! I have an ultrasound picture of the baby, I think I am going to load that to my photo album, so if you get a chance please check that out!

Today, my mom and I went out to lunch with my friends Willow and Tallulah Wood, it was a wonderful experience I met them on Homeschool Blogger and we became friends and we realized we only lived 3 hours from each other and we decided that we needed to meet and today was our meeting day! We went to a resturant and had lunch and talked and got to know each other, it was so much fun!

Tomorrow I am babysitting and I am also going to babysit on Saturday! I am babysitting for a 1 year old boy named Sawyer, he is such a sweetheart I love babysitting him! He is the best!

August 23, 2009 - Finally an Update!!!!!

Hey,

Well since I haven't written an entry since March there is a lot of things to write about!

First of all I will start out with saying that I bought a new horse! His name is Jake, he is a quarter horse/thoroughbred, he is 16.1 hands, he is 10 yrs old,  and he is a liver chestnut.  He has a great personality and he was originally born in Mexico, he was brought to the United States and his first owner trained him in Western, she was more into trail riding and a very laid back rider! Then he was sold to the owner that we bought him from and she trained him in English and Jumping! She would jump 3.6 - 4 foot jumps and she would take him to a lot of horse shows.  He ended up pulling a tendon in his hind leg and he wasn't able to jump any jumps that were bigger then 3.6 feet and so she bought a new horse and she wanted to sell Jake and we bought him! He is a pretty good horse, he is really smart unless you take him on the trail and since he was a retired race horse he thinks that he needs to compete against the other horses that are in front of him, which can be a little dangerous when you are on a trail with a cliff on one side, but other then that I love him!!!!

My cousin Brittany, who is 20, used to live in Idaho and now she is living with her dad, who lives down the road from us! I am enjoying hanging out with her a lot! We are really close! She is pregnant and she is having a baby girl, which she is really excited about that!  She is due on around November 24th! She is going to name the baby Trinity Lavallis!  I am going to throw a baby shower in the next month or so! I am really excited about that, I am thinking about doing it the first week in October, that way she doesn't have to store the baby stuff for that long! The theme for the baby shower will be Baby Pink, Royal Purple, and Sky Blue or Royal Purple, Sky Blue, and Yellow! I haven't quite decided yet, what do you guys think??? Ideas are welcome!

I am starting school on the 11th of September this year! I am actually going to a school in a city near us so I am not going to be officially "homeschooled". I go there three days a week and I have tons of homework due to the fact that I have decided to do a lot of core classes, which means lots of homework .  And then the other two days that I am not going to school I have to focus on the homework that they give me and do the extra work for that day! It sounds like it will be a lot of fun, the school has gotten many awards and they have quite a lot of kids so it will be pretty awesome!

Well I think that is all I am going to write for now!  I don't want to make the entry to long....

Hey Everyone,

How has everyone been? Can you believe that it is almost April? This year is just flying by.

I thought I would give you an update on what I have been up to lately and what I will be doing this week!

My brother Luke celebrated his 5th birthday on the 15th of March! He was so excited to be five, lol! He got some pretty cool toys! He got a remote controlled car, which is really awesome ! He got lots of candy and he got a couple star wars action figures.  He had a great time!

I have been reading some awesome books lately! I just finished reading the Cape Refuge Series which is written by Terri Blackstock. She is a Christian mystery/suspense writer! I love her books! My friend Sierra came over to my house on Saturday and spent the night till Sunday evening! I had a great time! My mom and my dad went out to dinner and Sierra, my brother, my brother's friend, and I stayed at my house and Sierra and I made homemade pizza for dinner and Chocolate Chip Blondies, both turned out really great! We also watched a movie, did some drawing, talked a lot, and went on the computer!
 
Tomorrow I am babysitting Noah again! Last time I babysat him he ended up being sick and having a high fever all three days that I babysat him, thankfully he was feeling better later on that week and thank goodness I didn't get sick. He isn't sick this time which I am most grateful for! I am hoping that he behaves himself and that he will be able to entertain himself for an hour or two so I will be able to get some school done. I will be at his house for 10 hours, it will be a busy day!

I am now going to do some commenting!!!! I will write another entry soon!

February 28, 2009 - NEW ENTRY

Hi Everyone,

WOW! It has been a long time since I have been on HSB. I have been doing a lot of facebook stuff latel.  I was getting on the computer this evening and I decided I needed to write an entry and comment my awesome friends on here and start to be more active with HSB again!

I have so much to tell you guys so this entry may be a little long and I promise I will try to keep it a little interesting, lol!

Lets see.... I cut my hair about a week ago! I cut eight inches off and I now have bangs! I took some pictures, I will try to post some on here soon! My hair is now right at my collar bone.

Swim team is going very well! I have been doing a lot of sprinting lately. It may sound easy, but it really isn't. Sprinting you go as fast as you can and put all your energy into it, you get tired very quickly. If you do a regular swim like a 200 yard swim you can take your time so you don't get tired quickly. I am probably confusing you guys by saying 200 yards, sprinting, etc. Let me know if I am being a little confusing I will try to be a little more specific.

Next week I will be babysitting a little boy named Noah! I will be babysitting him Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for 9 hours each day. I most likely won't be able to come on the computer those days. It will be very chaotic, I have to leave at 6:30 am and I won't be back till late and I need as much sleep as I can get. Babysitting little boys always means that I will have a very busy day there will never be a dull moment, lol!

School is going very well for me. I really like my History book this year. It is a lot more interesting then last year's! I am having a little bit of trouble with my Math. I am behind a little bit, but I am catching up so I hope I will be all caught up by next week! How is school going for you guys?

I would love to know if any new things have happened in your life lately? New haircut, new favorite subject, something new that has happened in sports, etc! I would love to know!!!

February 12, 2009 - UPDATE

Hey Everyone,

It has been forever since I wrote an entry. I am so sorry, I new it was awhile, but I didn't realize how long it has actually been.  I am so sorry about that.

Okay so I thought I would give everyone an update on what has been happening in my life.

On the 5th of February my little brother Jared turned 3.  He had a great time! He was sick  on his birthday so he was able invite his friends over, but mom and dad got him some pretty awesome  presents and he loved them so he had a great time. His cake was really cool as well! He had a fisherman cake, it was really cool looking!

Swim team has been going very well! We are now getting into some pretty intense stuff. I started out swim team doing 1,800 yards each swim practice and now we are up to 3,000 yards. Today was the hardest workout that I have ever had on the swim team. The swim instructor is getting me and a couple other teenagers ready for the high school swim team and so today we did a 3,500 workout. It was great and now I am really exhausted.

I would love to right more, but I have to get off the computer now, so I will comment everyone tomorrow!

February 2, 2009 - Finally I am writing a new entry!

Hey Everyone,

I am so sorry it has taken me forever to write an entry. I have been putting it off and putting it off until I decided I really needed to write a new entry.

Oh I hate that when I sit down to write an entry and then I can't think of what I wanted to write. Does that ever happen to any of you guys? It seems like it happens to me all the time, lol!
Oh I just remembered what I was going to write!

Have any of you seen the movie Fireproof, starring Kirk Cameron and Erin Bethea? I have decided I would post a description of the movie and a couple statements of how I liked it!



From the creators of Facing the Giants comes a powerful tale of the triumph, honor and forgiveness.

Kirk Cameron stars as Caleb Holt, a heroic fire caption who values dedication and service to others above all else.  But the most important partnership in his life, his marriage, is about to go up in smoke. This gripping story follows one man's desire to transform his life and marriage through the healing power of faith and fully embrace the fireman's code:  Never leave your partner behind.

That was the description of Fireproof, now I am going to give my little tidbits of how I liked it!

I thought Fireproof was a very inspirational movie, the acting was great and the chemistry between the characters was fabulous! The movie shows how much us human beings need God.  And if we don't have God, how that can effect our every day lives.  If we don't have God we don't know what love is, we don't know how to express it as well as if we have God in our hearts. This movie is a great example to the younger generation of what can happen if God is not playing an important role in your marriage. I recommend this movie to everyone who feels like they need to watch a good inspirational movie! I loved it and I am sure you will to!

That was my little review...

I am trying to think of some upcoming things in my life...
Awana's is this Wednesday!!! I am beginning to like it more, we have a new leader and she explains the lessons a little bit better and they are more enjoyable to listen to!

This Thursday is my brother Jared's third birthday! He is pretty excited, he wanted a spider man cake for his b-day and a pack of gum for his present, lol! He is pretty easy to buy for!

January 26, 2009 - Pictures of the puppy!

Hey Everyone,

How has everyone been? Did you guys have a good weekend? I had a great weekend! My friend Sophia, her mom, and I went to a fiber workshop. It was a blast, we made little purses out of old ties and we sewed backpacks! I also learned how to knit and how to do origami! I love to knit now! It is so much fun and it is also really relaxing! I am currently working on a scarf and I will take pictures of it when it is done and post them on here!

I just finished making some homemade chicken dumpling soup for my family for dinner tonight and I thought I should probably write a new entry after I was done! I believe in the last post I said I would post pictures in the next post, which would mean this one.  I thought I should probably post pictures of the new puppy we got for Christmas last year! Some of you may know that we named him Copper, he is a beagle, and he is 12 weeks old now!!! I was only able to upload two pictures because the computer decided it was going to be difficult. Once I fix the problem I will most likely post more pictures!

The first picture is of Copper and our other dog Bear! Bear is a four year old Chocolate lab! He is extremely hipper and loves fetching sticks. He was getting so good at fetching sticks that he thought he would try throwing his own stick. So he has mastered the skill of that as well and in the process of throwing his own stick his slobber wraps around his nose and if you are standing near while he is doing this you will be really fortunate if you walk away from him without slobber all over your shirt and pants. So getting Copper really settled Bear down and he hasn't slobbered on me in like 3 weeks!!!! lol! This picture was taken a couple days after we got Copper!




The next picture is of Copper and his little rubber toy.  He loves that toy and this stuffed animal that was one of my brothers, but Copper decided that he should take possession of it! He loves that thing, lol!




Isn't he cute? Well I can tell you that looks can be deceiving. He may look like an innocent little puppy... But he is anything but innocent. His is cute though and even though he makes me upset when he goes into my room and chews on my shoes or goes to the bathroom on my floor and I literally disinfect my floor a dozen times before I think it is clean enough to walk on, lol! But he is a cute puppy and I am glad that we got him!
