The Unique Life Of Me
March 22, 2009
March 22, 2009
Hey Everyone,

How has everyone been? Can you believe that it is almost April? This year is just flying by.

I thought I would give you an update on what I have been up to lately and what I will be doing this week!

My brother Luke celebrated his 5th birthday on the 15th of March! He was so excited to be five, lol! He got some pretty cool toys! He got a remote controlled car, which is really awesome ! He got lots of candy and he got a couple star wars action figures.  He had a great time!

I have been reading some awesome books lately! I just finished reading the Cape Refuge Series which is written by Terri Blackstock. She is a Christian mystery/suspense writer! I love her books! If you would like to go to her site and read a little bit about the series and the novels that she writes here is the link: http://www.terriblackstock.com/

My friend Sierra came over to my house on Saturday and spent the night till Sunday evening! I had a great time! My mom and my dad went out to dinner and Sierra, my brother, my brother's friend, and I stayed at my house and Sierra and I made homemade pizza for dinner and Chocolate Chip Blondies, both turned out really great! We also watched a movie, did some drawing, talked a lot, and went on the computer!

Tomorrow I am babysitting Noah again! Last time I babysat him he ended up being sick and having a high fever all three days that I babysat him, thankfully he was feeling better later on that week and thank goodness I didn't get sick. He isn't sick this time which I am most grateful for! I am hoping that he behaves himself and that he will be able to entertain himself for an hour or two so I will be able to get some school done. I will be at his house for 10 hours, it will be a busy day!

I am now going to do some commenting!!!! I will write another entry soon!

NEW ENTRY
Hi Everyone,

WOW! It has been a long time since I have been on HSB. I have been doing a lot of facebook stuff latel.  I was getting on the computer this evening and I decided I needed to write an entry and comment my awesome friends on here and start to be more active with HSB again!

I have so much to tell you guys so this entry may be a little long and I promise I will try to keep it a little interesting, lol!

Lets see.... I cut my hair about a week ago! I cut eight inches off and I now have bangs! I took some pictures, I will try to post some on here soon! My hair is now right at my collar bone.

Swim team is going very well! I have been doing a lot of sprinting lately. It may sound easy, but it really isn't. Sprinting you go as fast as you can and put all your energy into it, you get tired very quickly. If you do a regular swim like a 200 yard swim you can take your time so you don't get tired quickly. I am probably confusing you guys by saying 200 yards, sprinting, etc. Let me know if I am being a little confusing I will try to be a little more specific.

Next week I will be babysitting a little boy named Noah! I will be babysitting him Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for 9 hours each day. I most likely won't be able to come on the computer those days. It will be very chaotic, I have to leave at 6:30 am and I won't be back till late and I need as much sleep as I can get. Babysitting little boys always means that I will have a very busy day there will never be a dull moment, lol!

School is going very well for me. I really like my History book this year. It is a lot more interesting then last year's! I am having a little bit of trouble with my Math. I am behind a little bit, but I am catching up so I hope I will be all caught up by next week! How is school going for you guys?

I would love to know if any new things have happened in your life lately? New haircut, new favorite subject, something new that has happened in sports, etc! I would love to know!!!

Have a great week everyone!!!

UPDATE
Hey Everyone,

It has been forever since I wrote an entry. I am so sorry, I new it was awhile, but I didn't realize how long it has actually been.  I am so sorry about that.

Okay so I thought I would give everyone an update on what has been happening in my life.

On the 5th of February my little brother Jared turned 3.  He had a great time! He was sick  on his birthday so he was able invite his friends over, but mom and dad got him some pretty awesome  presents and he loved them so he had a great time. His cake was really cool as well! He had a fisherman cake, it was really cool looking!

Swim team has been going very well! We are now getting into some pretty intense stuff. I started out swim team doing 1,800 yards each swim practice and now we are up to 3,000 yards. Today was the hardest workout that I have ever had on the swim team. The swim instructor is getting me and a couple other teenagers ready for the high school swim team and so today we did a 3,500 workout. It was great and now I am really exhausted.

I would love to right more, but I have to get off the computer now, so I will comment everyone tomorrow!

Finally I am writing a new entry!
Hey Everyone,

I am so sorry it has taken me forever to write an entry. I have been putting it off and putting it off until I decided I really needed to write a new entry.

Oh I hate that when I sit down to write an entry and then I can't think of what I wanted to write. Does that ever happen to any of you guys? It seems like it happens to me all the time, lol!
Oh I just remembered what I was going to write!

Have any of you seen the movie Fireproof, starring Kirk Cameron and Erin Bethea? I have decided I would post a description of the movie and a couple statements of how I liked it!

From the creators of Facing the Giants comes a powerful tale of the triumph, honor and forgiveness.

Kirk Cameron stars as Caleb Holt, a heroic fire caption who values dedication and service to others above all else.  But the most important partnership in his life, his marriage, is about to go up in smoke. This gripping story follows one man's desire to transform his life and marriage through the healing power of faith and fully embrace the fireman's code:  Never leave your partner behind.

That was the description of Fireproof, now I am going to give my little tidbits of how I liked it!

I thought Fireproof was a very inspirational movie, the acting was great and the chemistry between the characters was fabulous! The movie shows how much us human beings need God.  And if we don't have God, how that can effect our every day lives.  If we don't have God we don't know what love is, we don't know how to express it as well as if we have God in our hearts. This movie is a great example to the younger generation of what can happen if God is not playing an important role in your marriage. I recommend this movie to everyone who feels like they need to watch a good inspirational movie! I loved it and I am sure you will to!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That was my little review...

I am trying to think of some upcoming things in my life...
Awana's is this Wednesday!!! I am beginning to like it more, we have a new leader and she explains the lessons a little bit better and they are more enjoyable to listen to!

This Thursday is my brother Jared's third birthday! He is pretty excited, he wanted a spider man cake for his b-day and a pack of gum for his present, lol! He is pretty easy to buy for!

Well I hope you guys have a great week! Now I am going to do some commenting!

Pictures of the puppy!
Hey Everyone,

How has everyone been? Did you guys have a good weekend? I had a great weekend! My friend Sophia, her mom, and I went to a fiber workshop. It was a blast, we made little purses out of old ties and we sewed backpacks! I also learned how to knit and how to do origami! I love to knit now! It is so much fun and it is also really relaxing! I am currently working on a scarf and I will take pictures of it when it is done and post them on here!

I just finished making some homemade chicken dumpling soup for my family for dinner tonight and I thought I should probably write a new entry after I was done! I believe in the last post I said I would post pictures in the next post, which would mean this one.  I thought I should probably post pictures of the new puppy we got for Christmas last year! Some of you may know that we named him Copper, he is a beagle, and he is 12 weeks old now!!! I was only able to upload two pictures because the computer decided it was going to be difficult. Once I fix the problem I will most likely post more pictures!

The first picture is of Copper and our other dog Bear! Bear is a four year old Chocolate lab! He is extremely hipper and loves fetching sticks. He was getting so good at fetching sticks that he thought he would try throwing his own stick. So he has mastered the skill of that as well and in the process of throwing his own stick his slobber wraps around his nose and if you are standing near while he is doing this you will be really fortunate if you walk away from him without slobber all over your shirt and pants. So getting Copper really settled Bear down and he hasn't slobbered on me in like 3 weeks!!!! lol! This picture was taken a couple days after we got Copper!

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii263/bloggirls/MakaylasPictures206-1.jpg?t=1233017907

The next picture is of Copper and his little rubber toy.  He loves that toy and this stuffed animal that was one of my brothers, but Copper decided that he should take possession of it! He loves that thing, lol!

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii263/bloggirls/MakaylasPictures209.jpg?t=1233018184

Isn't he cute? Well I can tell you that looks can be deceiving. He may look like an innocent little puppy... But he is anything but innocent. His is cute though and even though he makes me upset when he goes into my room and chews on my shoes or goes to the bathroom on my floor and I literally disinfect my floor a dozen times before I think it is clean enough to walk on, lol! But he is a cute puppy and I am glad that we got him!

Well that raps up my post today!

~Makayla~

P.S. Quite a few of my friends have awarded me and I was going to make this a post where I will give the awards to other people as well, but I did the pictures instead. So I wanted to say thank you so much for the awards and on my next post I will "present the awards"!

Barack Obama
Hey Everyone,

How have you guys been? First of all I want to thank you guys for giving me all those wonderful comments in my last post! I also want to thank SPL9 for giving me an award for his favorite blogger! Thank you so much!

This entry was supposed to be posted yesterday, but HSB was doing something to the site so I couldn't post an entry. So technically the inauguration was yesterday, so I am a day late, sorry about that.

Well, I haven't done a political post in forever and I know you all wanted to see a picture post, but since today is the inauguration of the 44th president of the United States I thought it would only be proper to do a quick post dedicated to Barack Obama and then on my next entry I will do a picture post!

Most of you probably know that I am not an Obama supporter and I believe that The United States made a huge mistake, so I am going to remind everyone of  Barack Obama without his teleprompter and I will also throw a few quotes in there from his radical friends.

November 5th ... what a day ... a new day ... finally Dr. King's words
ring true that one day we will live in a nation where people 'will not
be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their
character'." --singer Barbra Streisand

First of all lets remind everyone of Martin Luther King's words that she was referring to:

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the
true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident,
that all men are created equal.' ... I have a dream that my four
children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by
the color of their skin but by the content of their character. ... And
if America is to be a great nation this must become true." --Martin
Luther King Jr.

Barack Obama is not fulfilling these of Martin Luther King JR. I believe that since Barack Obama is black, some people were afraid and still are afraid to stand up against him and prove that he is lying to the American people and that the direction he wants to lead America could amount to nothing more than disaster;  But since he is black that would be racist right? WRONG! Dr. King's words were:  “I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."  Barack Obama was not judged by character, but by color. People think that he is black so we can't say anything bad about him, but that isn't Dr. King's dream that is the exact opposite, if he were alive today he would want Barack Obama judged by his character and if people would have judged Obama by his character we wouldn't be in the situation we are in now.

"I haven't seen this sense of unity since 9/11, really, really, and 9/11 was this tragic experience that brought us all together and now we're all brought together in the name of hope. Not since 9/11 have I experienced anything even kind of close to this." --Oprah Winfrey

Oh my goodness! Did Oprah just compare Obama's election into presidential office to a terrorist attack? Oh, joy it is getting better already, our 44th president of the United States has been compared to the unity after a terrorist attack. I am feeling extremely safe now.

"Now we know who John McCain is hoping to get votes from, people like Joe the Plumber, um I mean what plumber makes $250,000.00 a year" - Barack Obama

Oh yes, most of you probably remember Joe the plumber. The man that questioned Obama's tax plan... big mistake. The sad thing is that it was a simple question that was asked by a middle class American that was concerned about Obama's tax plan and for that he paid big time, the media made sure of that.  We have a very fair and caring media don't we?

"I have campaigned in 49 of the 51 states. I haven't campaigned in Hawaii or Alaska yet, my campaign advisors won't let me." -Barack Obama

I introduce to you fellow American's the President of the United States of America.
The "well qualified" man that is now our President can't even count how many states we have.

Well those were just a few of the statements that were made by the President and his radical supporters/friends. Those are only a few of the many topics that people need to be concerned about. For instance The War on Terror, Health Care, his tax plans, and many more issues! I would love to write about every one of them but I am afraid that would take forever so I must save those topics for a different day!

I know that isn't a big political entry. I just needed to say something so I could clear the "global warming" from my bloodstream. I don't really like Obama and he makes me quite upset, but he is the leader that was appointed to rule over the United States and we must respect that. I believe that there must be a major disaster before the people unite together and become one nation under God and not multiple parties in one nation under different Gods. And maybe Obama will be the one that will make that happen. I hope that we will not have to experience another major disaster, but if that is God's will so be it. I do hope that God will give Obama wisdom and that he will help Obama make the right decisions for this country!

I hope you enjoyed this entry!

    God bless America,

      ~Makayla~

January 20, 2009
I am sorry everyone but something is weird is going on with my blog. I am trying to right a political entry but it won't let me post it. So until I can get to the bottom of this I will be putting my entry on hold, I am so sorry about that!

Happy New Year
First of all I just want to say HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it is 2009? I don't know about you guys, but for me 2008 went by very fast.  Did any of you guys do anything fun for New Year's Eve? My friend Sierra came over for New Year's Eve and she spent the night! We stayed up and watched movies till 3:00am!  The movies we watched were The Dark Night, An American Carol, and The World Is Not Enough (an old James Bond movie).

The Dark Night was pretty good. It had some very interesting characters, the joker being the most interesting. The movie proved some pretty good points! I'm not going to give them away, you will just have to watch the movie and find out what the points are. Overall I liked the movie and I would recommend it to teenagers and adults!  I would not recommend it to children under 10 or 11 due to some of the gruesome parts of the movie. I would totally recommend you to read the overall review, click on the link and it will take you to the review of The Dark Night: The Link to the review of The Dark Night

An American Carol was awesome! It was so funny and I just loved it! The liberals got a taste of their own medicine with this movie! I recommend it to people that are interested in politics and people that want to have a good laugh! I recommend you to read the overall review to this movie, click on the link and you will be able to read the review of An American Carol: The link to the review of An American Carol

The World Is Not Enough is an older James Bond movie starring Peirce Bronson as James Bond.  I love the James Bond movies and this one was pretty good! It was kind of funny seeing Peirce Bronson in Mama Mia and then in James Bond, it is a drastic change in character.  If you like James Bond then I'm sure you would like this movie!

Well, that was my New Year's Eve!

I almost forgot to tell you guys that one of my family's Christmas presents this year was......A NEW PUPPY!!!!!  He is so cute, he is 9 weeks old now and he is a beagle! We named him Copper!  I took a bunch of pictures of him and I will post the pictures on here when I get them loaded up to my mom's computer!

Okay, for my next post I wanted to do something special! I need some ideas from you guys! Would you like to me to do a post of pictures, reviews on CDs, reviews on Movies, politics, etc! Let me know in a comment or a message!

Have a great week!

~Poem~
Hi Peoples,

How have you been doing? Did you guys have a great Christmas?

The majority of our snow has melted. We have had 2 strait days of rain and so now we have several inches here and there.  I will say that we had a VERY White Christmas this year. On Christmas day we had three feet of snow and in drifts we had up to four feet. The day after Christmas it rained and rained and rained and needless to say by-by snow.  I will have to say I am thankful that the snow is melting, it is so hard to function when there is so much snow. I know I felt VERY housebound. Hopefully we will not have this much snow again for a couple more years!

I got this email from one of my friend's and I thought it was well worth sharing!

Here it is:

My name is Chris

I am three,

My eyes are swollen

I cannot see,

I must be stupid

I must be bad,

What else could have made

My daddy so mad?

I wish I were better

I wish I weren't ugly,

Then maybe my mommy

Would still want to hug me.

I can't do a wrong

I can't speak at all

Or else I'm locked up

All day long.

When I'm awake I'm all alone

The house is dark

My folks aren't home

When my mommy does come home

I'll try and be nice,

So maybe I'll just get

One whipping tonight.

I just heard a car

My daddy is back

From Charlie's bar.

I hear him curse

My name is called

I press myself

Against the wall

I try to hide

From his evil eyes

I'm so afraid now

I'm starting to cry

He finds me weeping

Calls me ugly words,

He says its my fault

He suffers at work.

He slaps and hits me

And yells at me more,

I finally get free

And run to the door

He's already locked it

And i start to bawl,

He takes me and throws me

Against the hard wall

I fall to the floor

With my bones nearly broken,

And my daddy continues

With more bad words spoken,

'I'm sorry!', I scream

But its now much to late

His face has been twisted

Into a unimaginable shape

The hurt and the pain

Again and again

O please God, have mercy!

O please let it end!

And he finally stops

And heads for the door

While I lay there motionless

Brawled on the floor

My name is Chris

I am three,

Tonight my daddy

Murdered me

And you can help

  me,

And if you read this

and don't pass it on

I pray for your forgiveness

Because you would have to be

One heartless person

To not be effected

By this Poem

And because you are effected,

Do something about it!

So all I ask you to do

Is pass this on!

Isn't that a wonderful and sad poem.  It really touched me and the sad thing is that so many children are in the same situation as Chris was. There are things that we can do to help these children! No child should have to go threw the pain of being abused by a parent, family member, friend, etc. Help these children, you can help more then you may think. Pass this along and get the word out that thousands of children are abused each and every day and if you know someone that abuses their children, report them to the authorities. Don't wait, because if you do it may to late. Do me a favor and please pass this poem along!

Merry Christmas
Hi Everyone,

First of all I just want to say:

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Today is CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!! So far I have had a great Christmas! It was so funny, my little brother Jared opened one of his presents and there was a package of sippy cups and he grabbed them and started to jump up and down and say yeah, yeah, yeah, he was so excited! He loves his sippy cups and we only had one  because the other ones were getting old and we had to throw them away, so he was overjoyed that he got a few more sippy cups to pack around!

Some of the gifts I received for Christmas were:

Taylor Swift's CD Fearless
Beyonce's CD I am Sasha Fierce
2 pairs of Pj's which are extremely soft!
Make-up
A jar of pickles from my wonderful brother Matthew ( I love pickles by the way)
Several gift cards
And I still have a few more gifts that I haven't opened yet.

I just wanted to give a quick review on the CD's I received!

Taylor Swift's Cd Fearless is a really great Cd! All the songs are clean and they all have really good and cute meanings and they have catchy tunes as well! The majority of the songs she has on her album Fearless, she has written herself.  I just really like artists that write the majority of there songs! I think it is so cool! Her songs express what has happened in her life life and what she has went threw!  I would rate this album 5 stars!

Beyonce's CD I am Sasha Fierce is a pretty good CD! I haven't listened to all of her songs on her album, but the ones that I have listened to were pretty good! She co-wrote all of the songs on her album, which is cool! Two songs on her album are not the best, but other then those it is a really good album! Beyonce has a very beautiful voice and my favorite song of hers is her most recent single, If I were a Boy. It is a great song!  I would rate Beyonce's album 4 stars!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Merry Christmas,
~Makayla~

!Tag!

Hey,

4 days left till Christmas!!! Is it just me or does it seem like this year has just flown by.  It seems like just yesterday it was the first day of summer and now it is almost Christmas!

So I know you guys have probably heard this from a million people, but I am going to be that million and one person you heard it from. Even though Christmas is so close and everybody is so excited , just don't forget why we celebrate Christmas. We celebrate Christmas because it is our Lord and Saviour's birthday. We all like it when people come to our birthday's and help us celebrate it.  We should do the same for Jesus. Spread the news of the true meaning of Christmas and help me celebrate Jesus Christ's birthday!

If your comment that you left doesn't show up right away it is because I have to listen to the comment and then approve it before it is published!

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

~SNOW~
Hey Everyone,

Has anybody gotten any snow yet? We got nailed with snow today. At the moment we have around 7 inches. Tomorrow we are supposed to get a couple more inches.  I will say that I like the snow so much better then the extremely cold and windy weather that we were experiencing a week ago.

This entry I am going to post pictures. I love taking pictures and I took a bunch of our field and the mountains with snow on them. Our field is so gorgeous when it snows, I take pictures of it every year, lol!
I had the brilliant idea of taking a "children portrait", my dad's parents live a ways away from us and they always love recent pictures of us, so I thought why not take a nice recent photo of us kids and do a little photo shoot. First of all doing a photo shoot with your 3 brothers that are 8 and under is like torture. They want there pictures taken, but, they want it taken when that are posing in their "Star Wars Pose". I'm all like, ummm let me think about that, these are Christmas pictures that we are going to be giving people,  we want them nice not "Star Wars". My answer.... NO! Anyway after much hassle we got some pretty decent pictures and of course after promising to let them do a Star Wars pose after we got all the nice pictures done!! I am going to show you the pictures that we took and on my next entry I will post the pictures that I took of our field! That way for those of you who have dial up will not have to wait for an hour to have all the pictures load up.  Here are the picture of me and my brothers,  enjoy..........

~Saturday~
Hey,

How has everyone been doing? Are you guys enjoying the Christmas Season?
Has anyone gotten any snow yet?  It is supposed to snow at my house tonight! All next week the temperature outside is supposed to be around 20-25 degrees. That is FREEZING. I kind of like the colder temperatures, especially after a really hot summer, but 20-25 degrees is like getting a little carried away.

So what are you guys doing for Christmas? What is the main gift you are hoping to get this Christmas?

This is a little off the subject of Christmas, but I was thinking about doing a political entry soon and giving everyone an update on the economy and whats happening in the world. I was wondering if you guys would be interested in an entry like that or our you tired of hearing about politics and would rather me post about something else. I would like to know if you would read it, because I really like to post about something that would interest you guys and if that is something you are not interested in hearing just let me know! I would like to hear your thoughts on this!

Back on the subject of Christmas! My grandpa sent me an email that was really great! It was sweet and wonderful and the story was so touching! So I just had to share it with you all, !

The White Envelope

It's just a small white envelope stuck among the branches of our Christmas tree. No name, no identification, no inscription. It has peeked through the branches of our tree for the past 10 years or so.

It all began because my husband Mike hated Christmas --oh, not the true
meaning of Christmas, but the commercial aspects of it -- the overspending, the frantic running around at the last minute to get a tie for Uncle Harry and the dusting powder for Grandma -- the gifts given in desperation because you couldn't think of anything else.

Knowing he felt this way, I decided one year to bypass the usual shirts,
sweaters, ties, and so forth. I reached for something special just for
Mike. The inspiration came in an unusual way. Our son Kevin, who was 12 that year, was wrestling at the junior level at the school he attended.

Shortly before Christmas, there was a non-league match against a team
sponsored by an inner-city church.

These youngsters, dressed in sneakers so ragged that shoestrings seemed to be the only thing holding them together, presented a sharp contrast to our boys in their spiffy blue and gold uniforms and sparkling new wrestling shoes. As the match began, I was alarmed to see that the other team was wrestling without headgear, a kind of light helmet designed to protect a wrestler's ears. It was a luxury the ragtag team obviously could not afford.

Well, we ended up walloping them. We took every weight class. And as each of their boys got up from the mat, he swaggered around in his tatters with false bravado, a kind of street pride that couldn't acknowledge defeat.

Mike, seated beside me, shook his head sadly, 'I wish just one of them
could have won,' he said. 'They have a lot of potential, but losing like
this could take the heart right out of them.' Mike loved kids -- all kids --
and he knew them, having coached little league football, baseball, and
lacrosse.

That's when the idea for his present came. That afternoon, I went to a
local sporting goods store and bought an assortment of wrestling headgear and shoes and sent them anonymously to the inner-city church.
On Christmas Eve, I placed the envelope on the tree, the note inside
telling Mike what I had done and that this was his gift from me. His smile
was the brightest thing about Christmas that year and in succeeding years. For each Christmas, I followed the tradition --one year sending a group of mentally handicapped youngsters to a hockey game, another year a check to a pair of elderly brothers whose home had burned to the ground the week before Christmas, and on and on. The envelope became the highlight of our Christmas. It was always the last thing opened on Christmas morning, and our children, ignoring their new toys, would stand with wide-eyed anticipation as their dad lifted the envelope from the tree to reveal its contents.

As the children grew, the toys gave way to more practical presents, but
the envelope never lost its allure. The story doesn't end there.
You see, we lost Mike last year. When Christmas rolled around, I was still so wrapped in grief that I barely got the tree up. But Christmas Eve found me placing an envelope on the tree, and in the morning it was joined by three more. Each of our children,  unbeknownst tothe others, had placed an envelope on the tree for their dad.

The tradition has grown and someday will expand even further with our grandchildren standing around the tree with wide-eyed anticipation watching as their fathers take down the envelope. Mike's spirit, like the Christmas Spirit, will always be with us.

May we all remember Christ, who is the reason for the season, and the true Christmas spirit this year and always.

I hope you all enjoyed this entry!

Merry Christmas,
Makayla

~Don't forget what Christmas is all about~
Hey Everyone,

Did you guys have an awesome Thanksgiving?  I had a fantastic Thanksgiving! We invited friends and family! There was a lot of food so I am glad we had some help eating it! My mom and I literally cooked all morning and part of the afternoon on Thanksgiving Day!  I made a apple pie and a pumpkin cream cheese cake! I am not a big fan of pumpkin, I do not like pumpkin pie,it is just has to much pumpkin in it for me. But this pumpkin cake I LOVE! It doesn't have to much pumpkin, it has a lot of spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice, and ginger! When I get around to it sometime I will have to post the recipe on here! The cake is really moist as well, mmmnnnn so good! I would love to hear what you guys all did for Thanksgiving? Did you guys have family over, have a party, or eat tons of pie?

As you may have noticed I changed my template! It fits more with the upcoming holiday..... Christmas!  I also added some "New" things to my sidebar! When you get a chance, you should check it out!

I was searching the web an hour or so ago for Christmas quotes!  I found some that I really liked, so I am going to share them with you! Also if you would like to view them sometime in the future they will also be posted on my sidebar! Without further ado here are the quotes.

The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others' burdens, easing other's loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of Christmas." ~W. C. Jones~

Let us remember that the Christmas heart is a giving heart, a wide open heart that thinks of others first. The birth of the baby Jesus stands as the most significant event in all history, because it has meant the pouring into a sick world of the healing medicine of love which has transformed all manner of hearts for almost two thousand years... Underneath all the bulging bundles is this beating Christmas heart.
-George Mathhew Adams -

Christmas is not as much about opening our presents as opening our hearts. ~Janice Maeditere~

Good news from heaven the angels bring, Glad tidings to the earth they sing: To us this day a child is given, To crown us with the joy of heaven. -Martin Luther-

I loved all of those quotes! They have such great truths in these quotes! It really reminds me what Christmas is all about!  During this Christmas Season all I have to say is don't forgot what Christmas is all about. The Son of God was born on Christmas Day! God gave us Jesus and the Wise Men gave gifts to Jesus! Christmas is a day of giving, a WHOLE day of giving and remembering that the greatest gift of all was born in a stable on Christmas Day, let us not forget that during the Christmas Season!

!!!!!PICTURES!!!!!!!!
Hi,

WOW! Time has flown by so fast. I am sorry I haven't written an entry, it has been a very busy week and weekend.

I started swim team last Tuesday! It is a LOT of swimming! We swim around 2,000 yards each swim meet. We meet every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I like swimming and although swim team is hard I really like it and it is great exercise!

My friend Sierra, my mom, and I went to the Revolve tour last Friday and Saturday! The Revolve tour is a Christian concert. There is music and people that speak on different topics! The speakers were Jenna Lucado( Max Lucado's daughter), Chad Eastham, and Courtney Christine Clark. The people that sang were Hawk Nelson(They were totally awesome), Group 1 Crew(they were really good as well), Krystal Meyers, Danielle Kimmey( She sings in the band Out of Eden), and Natalie Grant!!! All The people that sang were really good!!! I encourage you to check out their sites and listen to a few of their songs! The speakers were also really great! Chad Eastham was defiantly my favorite! He has written a couple books for girls and guys! You can check out his books at your local library. The title of the books that he wrote for girls are The Truth About Guys and Guys like girls who.... The book that he wrote for guys is The Truth About Girls. I have read the book The truth about guys, it was really good and it was funny! I really liked it, I recommend it to girls, as for the book he wrote for guys I haven't read it and I don't plan to, so guys you will have to read it and tell me how you liked it, lol!

The 23rd of November was my Best Friend Sierra's 13th birthday! I went to her house for her birthday, she got some really nice gifts, a few of the gifts she got was Taylor Swift's new CD Fearless, eyeliner, mascara, Face Cleanser, Toner, and a lot more gifts!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to take any pictures of Sierra on her birthday and I also wasn't able to take any pictures of the Revolve Tour. My brothers failed to tell me that they hid my camera in the couch. Thankfully my mom's friend Linda found my camera in the couch today. So, I had a bunch of pictures on my camera that I have been wanting to post on here! I have finally had the chance to load up the pictures to my mom's computer and I am going to post a few of the pics on here! All of the pictures that I am posting are recent!

This is a picture of me posing in a wedding dress that my mom bought me for a parade I was in! I loved the dress and so did my friend so when she came over a couple weeks ago we did a photo shoot in the dress! This is one of the pictures from the photo shoot!

!!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!!
Hi Everyone,

How was your guys' weekend? My weekend was fun!! I am going to share with you what I did this weekend and what I have planned for the rest of the week. Oh, and don't worry, this won't be too long of an entry!

Friday evening I went to Wyld Life! Wyld life is a club for 6th to 9th graders. We get together once a month and we play games, hang out, and towards the end we have a bible study! It is really fun! I get to meet new people and hang out with my friends and learn about God all at the same time. How cool is that????
After Wyld Life I went to my friend Sierra's house and spent the night!  Before we went to bed we watched the movie Kung Fu Panda.  It is an extremely cute movie! Jack Black plays The Panda Bear a.k.a The Dragon Warrior! Just encase you don't know who Jack Black is, these are just a couple movies that he has played in; Be Kind Rewind, King Kong, and Kung Fu Panda.

Saturday I helped Sierra and her brothers and sisters clean up their house! After we finished cleaning we went outside and played Basketball and took a walk down to The General Store. The General store is a 15 minute walk from Sierra's house. The General store has a little bit of everything. Sierra and I got a Fuze and a couple Hershey Candy Bars, which we shared with Sierra's brothers and sisters!

Today(Sunday) I came home from Sierra's house.  My parents and brothers spent the afternoon cleaning up our fields and doing some things around our driveway. I didn't feel like going outside, so I spent the afternoon cleaning up the inside of the house. I cleaned it and made it look so beautiful !

That is what I have been doing this weekend, now I am going to write about what I have planned for the next couple days!

Tomorrow(Monday) is co-op! Our teacher was sick last week, so most likely this week we will have extra homework..... Yeah us!

Tuesday is Swim Team! This Tuesday is the first Swim Team meet this fall! I can't wait! I love swimming and swim team will improve my strokes and will help me be a better and stronger swimmer!  Swim Team is Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. To be able to swim on the swim team you have to be able to swim 50 yards easily. I can swim around 200 hundred yards easily!

This Thursday My Uncle Tim is having heart surgery. Four of his six arteries in his heart are clogged. I don't know how risky the surgery is, but considering it is on his heart I am assuming it is pretty risky! I would be extremely thankful if you guys' would pray for him to make it out of surgery safely!

Ok, just a quick reminder! My friend Sierra has a birthday that is coming up. Her birthday is this Sunday ( November 23)! I would love it if you guys could go to her blog and leave her a comment! She hasn't gotten many comments lately and It would be a great birth day present for her if you guys' could bombard her with comments!!!!!! Here is the link to her blog... Sierra's Blog

My Weekend....... Bible Study, Out to Lunch, Shopping, Reading...
Hi,

How has everyone been?
I would like to say thank you so much for all the comments you guys left me on the post before this one! You all were very encouraging and had some great ideas on how we can help our new President. Some of the comments talked about how Barack Obama is our President we need to have respect for him, God appointed him for a reason and that reason could be for good or for bad we will just have to wait and find out. Other comments talked about how we can pray that Obama will have a change of heart and that he will make the right decisions for our country and that he will become a Christian.

Okay, now I am going to move off of the topic of politics and on to the topic of my weekend.

Friday-  Friday morning I worked on school, cleaning the house, and I finished an awesome book!  Friday evening I went to my friend Sierra's house! Her sisters, Emily and Leanne thought it would be fun to have a bible study for us girls, Emily, Leanne, Sierra, and I.  The title of the bible study books we are using is Secret Keeper. The whole book is on modesty. How the world has drifted so far from modest dressing for woman that it is disgusting. I struggle sometimes with dressing modestly. I'm not perfect and sometimes it is hard for me to dress modest because when I think of modest dressing I think of the woman and children that wear the skirts down to there ankles, white button up blouses that button all the way up to the middle of your neck, and the white tennis shoes or black boot like shoes. I think WOW that is a little to modest for me. I respect there way of dressing and I think that it is awesome that they can do that but I just couldn't ever dress that way. It really got me thinking how do I dress more modestly without me feeling like I am going overboard. How can I be "In Style" and still dress modestly and how God would want me to dress and act like.
So I came up with an answer...........My answer is that I can keep an "In Style" wardrobe, the clothes just have to have a little change to them. Some of my tops are kind of low cut, I wear a tank top underneath them , the top comes up higher and adds a little more to cuteness to the top and makes it look a little nicer and more appropriate.  I used to hate the idea of wearing a tank top under everything, they are kind of thick and it looks funny. But I bought the tank tops that have the thinner fabric and are spaghetti straps, so they don't look show threw your clothes as much and they still come up farther then the original shirt. Another think that I have noticed is the world says tighter clothes are better, for awhile I was believing them, but now I can see that it makes your figure look worse and you look cheap and trashy.  I think clothes that are not tight against your figure, but aren't baggy look a lot nicer on me then the ones that are skin tight.  I really like the shirts that are tighter towards the top of your upper body and are loser towards the bottom of your upper body. I think those shirts are extremely cute, especially with the jewels on them! Ok, so that is my ten cents on dressing modestly, lol! I would love to know what the word modest means to you! When you hear someone say dress more modestly what comes to mind? How do you think that you could dress more modestly? If you are not comfortable answering these questions that is fine! But I would love to know your answers!

Saturday-  Saturday I was on the computer doing a bunch of things, writing comments, making my new template, and adding a few things to my sidebar.

Sunday-  My mom, my grandma, my aunt Lena, my aunt Lena's daughter-in-law, and me went out to lunch. We went to a German restaurant. They had very interesting food, some I liked, some I didn't like. I would have to say I am not a big fan of German food.  After lunch we went shopping and then we came home!

Today was co-op! We watched a movie about the government way back when, like in the 1800s. It was a pretty boring movie, but I watched it anyway and acted like it was the most interesting movie I have ever watched. Other then co-op today was pretty laid back.
Alright that raps up what I have been doing lately!

Ok I have just a quick little thing I would like to say before I finish this entry. My friend Sierra has a birthday coming up! I think it would be an awesome b-day present from you guys if you gave her a bunch of comments! It would be so awesome and she would love it! Here is the link to her blog......... Sierra's Blog.

~My heart is Crying~
Last evening the United States elected Barack Obama to be the 44th president of the United States Of America. This was the WORST decision America has ever made. Welcome to the country of higher taxes, socialist government, Abortion on demand, and many more things that us fellow Americans will have to suffer for the choices that our neighbors made.

Now, we can not change what has already been done, but we can pray. We need to pray for our troops, we need to pray for the many lives of babies that will be murdered in the next 4 years, and that God will protect us from the countries that are planning to go up against us in the weakest time of American History.

Oh and one more thing. To the fellow Americans that voted for Obama because he wants to bring the troops home. Well you were fooled. He doesn't want to bring them home he is going to cut off funding for the troops. He will not be sending any money over there he will not be sending any weapons over there and he will not be bringing them home. Our troops will be left to die over there. Barack Obama's Vice President Joe Biden even said that was dangerous and many lives will be lost. But as always will Barack Obama listen to him.......... NO.

My heart is crying right now. My heart is crying for our troops our country and our lives. God help us!!!!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA

~Tuesday~
Hi,

How has everyone been doing? I have been doing pretty well!

Today I did some house cleaning and miscellaneous stuff for my Great Aunt. She is disabled and she has a hard time cleaning, doing her laundry, vacuuming, etc. I go to her house once a week or once every other week. I like helping her out, it makes me feel good! And besides I think it is kind of fun, I love cleaning and organizing houses. I am constantly reorganizing and cleaning everything in my bedroom and in my house. I am an organization freak. I especially like reorganizing other peoples houses, I am never really bored cleaning.

My grandpa sent an email to me. The email is called The Heart. The email really touched me, I don't know where he got it from, but it is a really, really.  So I am going to pass it along! Here is the email:

"Tomorrow morning," the surgeon began,

                                               "I'll open up your heart..."

"You'll find Jesus there," the boy

 interrupted.

The surgeon looked up, annoyed "I'll

cut your heart open," he continued,

to see how much damage has been

 done .."

"But when you open up my heart, you'll

find Jesus in there," said the boy.

The surgeon looked to the parents, who

Sat quietly. "When I see how much

damage has been done, I'll sew your

heart and chest back up, and I'll plan

 what to do next."

"But you'll find Jesus in my heart. The

Bible says He lives there. The

hymns all say He lives there. You'll

 find Him in my heart."

The surgeon had had enough. "I'll tell

you what I'll find in your heart.

I'll find damaged muscle, low blood

 supply , and weakened vessels.

And I'll find out if I can make you well."

"You'll find Jesus there too. He lives

 there "

The surgeon left.

The surgeon sat in his office, recording his

notes from the surgery, "...damaged aorta, damaged

 pulmonary vein, widespread muscle degeneration.

No hope for transplant, no hope for cure. Therapy:

painkillers and bed rest. Prognosis:, "

here he paused, "death within one year."

He stopped the recorder, but there was

more to be said. "Why?" he asked aloud.

"Why did You do this? You've put

him here; You've put him in this pain; and

You've cursed him to an early death. Why?"

The Lord answered and said, "The boy,

My lamb, was not meant for your

flock for long, for he is a part of My

flock , and will forever be.

Here, in My flock, he will feel no pain, and

will be comforted as you cannot imagine.

His parents will one day join him here,

and they will know peace, and

My flock will continue to grow."

The surgeon's tears were hot, but his

anger was hotter. "You created that

boy , and You created that heart. He'll

 be dead in months. Why?"

The Lord answered, "The boy, My lamb,

shall return to My flock, for He has

Done his duty: I did not put My lamb

with your flock to lose him, but to retrieve another

 lost lamb."

The surgeon wept.. The surgeon sat

beside the boy's bed; the boy's

parents sat across from him. The boy awoke and

whispered , "Did you cut open my heart?"

"Yes," said the surgeon.

"What did you find?" asked the boy.

I found Jesus there," said the

 surgeon

Author Unknown

Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of me,

I will be ashamed of you before

 my Father."

I Am Not Ashamed. Pass this on only if

you mean it. "Yes, I do Love

God. He is my source of existence and

Savior. He keeps me functioning each

and everyday. Without Him, I will be

nothing . Without him, I am nothing,

but with Him I can do all things through

 Christ that strengthens me."

 (Phil 4:13)

This is the simplest test. If you Love

God, and are not ashamed of all the

marvelous things he has done for you.

Send this to ten people and the

person who sent it to you. You can

post this on your blog or website.

I hope everyone enjoyed this post!

BEWARE.........Political Entry
Hey Everyone,

I have decided that it is about time for me to right another political entry! The sites where I got some of my information from are: The Patiot Post and The Washington Times.

Okay, I am going to start with Bloopers from the Left (Democrats).

Bloopers

Joe Biden -  "McCain doesn't want to create jobs, Barack Obama wants to create jobs. I have a three letter word for you. Our campaign stands for this three letter word, J-O-B-S."
(Ummmmm......... Mr. Biden I think you need to go back to kindergarten and learn how to count.)

Barack Obama - "I have campaigned in 49 of the 51 states. I haven't campaigned in Hawaii or Alaska yet, my campaign advisors won't let me." (Mr.Obama I think you need to learn how to count as well.)

Barack Obama- "Now we know who John McCain is hoping to get votes from, people like Joe the Plumber, um I mean what plumber makes $250.00."
(Did he just slam middle class Americans
?)

The Left

Barney Frank - "Yes, I believe later on there should be tax increases. Speaking personally, I think there are a lot of very rich people out there whom we can tax at a point down the road and recover some of this money.

Joe Biden - "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy.... Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate.... And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him, we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right." (I think Mr.Biden just implied that Senator Obama isn't qualified enough to save us from ANOTHER international crisis)

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi - "One hundred percent Barack Obama is going to win! He's going to be our next president and a great president at that. We're all excited to work with him." (
That lady sickens me)

Update from the McCain/Palin Campaign

When Senator McCain was in Ormond Beach, Florida today he continued to distance himself from President Bush and even tried to turn the tables on his Democratic rival, arguing that Sen.Barack Obama will provide the sequel to the Bush administrations reckless, runaway spending.

Senator McCain took three swipes at the Bush administration, at one point he pounded on the podium to emphasize his criticism, and comparing Mr. Bush's grasp of international affairs to Mr.Obama.

"Are you ready to trust America's national security to an untested leader in these times of war? Two wars we're in," Mr. McCain said at a lumbar yard in Ormond Beach. "You know, we can't spend the next four years as we have spent much of the last eight, hoping for our luck to change at home and abroad."

He leveled the criticism a day after blaming President Bush in an interview with The Washington Times, "for letting things get completely out of hand in a spending and the direction of government."

After Senator McCain was done campaigning in Ormond, Florida he spent the day driving on Interstate 4 corridor across central Florida on a "Joe the Plumber" tour, stopping at small businesses along the way to talk with the owners who said Mr.Obama's plan to raise taxes on those making $250,000.00 or more would force them to lay off workers.

After news that jobless claims neared a seven year high, Mr.McCain said Mr.Obama would only make the situation worse.

Mr McCain said, "Barack Obama's only answer is to double down on the Bush Administration legacy of out-of-control spending, raise taxes on small businesses, impose mandates on employers and raise trade barriers a time proven recipe for turning tough economic times into terrible economic circumstances."

The Last Word

"Supposedly, under the Obama tax plan, 95 percent of the American people will get a tax cut. You'd think that at this point the natural skepticism of any sentient being other then 6-week-old puppies might kick in, but apparently not. If you're wondering why Obama didn't simply announce that under his plan 112 percent of the American people will get a tax cut, well, they ran it past the focus groups who said that that was all very generous but they'd really like it if he could find a way to stick it to Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, and Karl Rove and whatnot. So 95 percent it is...Our Fact Check Unit ran the numbers on the tax-cut plan and the number is correct: '95.' It's the word 'percent' that immediately following that are wrong: that's a typing error accidentally left in from the first draft. It should read: Under the Obama plan, 95 of the American people will get a tax cut. Joe the Plumber expressed his misgivings about the President-in-waiting's tax inclinations, and the O-Man smoothly reassured him: 'It's not that I want to punish your success,' he told Joe the Plumber. 'I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success, too. I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody.' In that sentence about you spreading the wealth around, there's another typing error" that 'you' should read 'I, Barack.' 'You' will have no say in it."----Mark Steyn

God Bless America,
~Makayla~

My name is Makayla, I am thirteen years old and I am homeschooled! I am a Christian girl that is trying each and every day to be more like my heavenly father. I love meeting new people and making new friends. I try to see the positive side to every issue and sometimes I fail at that. I am not perfect, but I try to do the right thing all the time. I live on a farm in the country and my best friend is 5 minutes away from me. I am the oldest child in my family and I have three younger brothers, which are always a handful. My blog will be about my everyday life with a mix of politics, tags, quizzes, pictures, and some other random things! I hope you enjoy my blog and my entries!
