Hi everyone,
Jocelyn Dixon posted about this on her blog and I thought this sounded so fun, so I decided to post about it on my blog. This is for girls only(sorry to all those guys out there). The sight is called Kindred Hearts and they have a spot where you can sign up to become someones pen-pal ( I have signed up). Pour yourself a cup of tea, find some pretty paper and open your favorite pen. Your new friend is waiting to hear the latest happenings and be encouraged.
Your lovely letter is received with excitement as your friend opens it to hear from you! Perhaps you enclosed a lovely bookmark, scented-pressed flowers, a photograph, or just a hello hug. Taking the time for old fashioned correspondence is almost non-existent with the communication possibilities available today. Many people find little reason to sit down with a pretty piece of stationary to carefully pen a nice letter. So few know the joyous anticipation of this lovely gift!
Each issue of Seasons at Home will now be encouraging our interested readers to sign up for Kindred Hearts. Our goal is to bring together those women who long for pen and paper fellowship! As many of us spend most of our time in our homes with our children and daily duties, a letter or card from a distant friend can be such a joy.
If you would like to find "like-minded" women who love the Lord and long to share encouragement and blessings, then join us as we write the good old fashioned way using our postal service! We would like to dedicate this column to those who are looking to share prayers, encouraging words, letters, cards, and friendship with others across the miles.
Girls ages 13-18 may sign up for our Young Kindred Heart pen pal program!
