The Unique Life Of Me

November 30, 2008 - ~Don't forget what Christmas is all about~

Hey Everyone,

Did you guys have an awesome Thanksgiving?  I had a fantastic Thanksgiving! We invited friends and family! There was a lot of food so I am glad we had some help eating it! My mom and I literally cooked all morning and part of the afternoon on Thanksgiving Day!  I made a apple pie and a pumpkin cream cheese cake! I am not a big fan of pumpkin, I do not like pumpkin pie,it is just has to much pumpkin in it for me. But this pumpkin cake I LOVE! It doesn't have to much pumpkin, it has a lot of spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice, and ginger! When I get around to it sometime I will have to post the recipe on here! The cake is really moist as well, mmmnnnn so good! I would love to hear what you guys all did for Thanksgiving? Did you guys have family over, have a party, or eat tons of pie?

As you may have noticed I changed my template! It fits more with the upcoming holiday..... Christmas!  I also added some "New" things to my sidebar! When you get a chance, you should check it out!

I was searching the web an hour or so ago for Christmas quotes!  I found some that I really liked, so I am going to share them with you! Also if you would like to view them sometime in the future they will also be posted on my sidebar! Without further ado here are the quotes.

The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others' burdens, easing other's loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of Christmas." ~W. C. Jones~

Let us remember that the Christmas heart is a giving heart, a wide open heart that thinks of others first. The birth of the baby Jesus stands as the most significant event in all history, because it has meant the pouring into a sick world of the healing medicine of love which has transformed all manner of hearts for almost two thousand years... Underneath all the bulging bundles is this beating Christmas heart.
-George Mathhew Adams -

Christmas is not as much about opening our presents as opening our hearts. ~Janice Maeditere~

Good news from heaven the angels bring, Glad tidings to the earth they sing: To us this day a child is given, To crown us with the joy of heaven. -Martin Luther-

I loved all of those quotes! They have such great truths in these quotes! It really reminds me what Christmas is all about!  During this Christmas Season all I have to say is don't forgot what Christmas is all about. The Son of God was born on Christmas Day! God gave us Jesus and the Wise Men gave gifts to Jesus! Christmas is a day of giving, a WHOLE day of giving and remembering that the greatest gift of all was born in a stable on Christmas Day, let us not forget that during the Christmas Season!

Thanks for the comment!

Actually, I may be full grown at 5'1. Other short people out there will be great! lol. My mom and I are hoping for a couple more inches-if it's God's plan.
One of my B.F.F.'s also is tall. I used to be taller than her,and now she's 5 or 6 inches taller than me! I'm 6 months older than her too! :-)

Maybe us short people can join together! *starts writing plans on paper* lol.

Happy early b-day! And I LOVE the Christmas template!

Hey! I'm sorry that I haven't been able to reply to all your comment lately... I've been totally crushed with high-school work... Although this quarter has been easier than the first one... :)

Thanks! I had a great Thanksgiving, and I got to see all my relatives again! Now I can't wait to see them again at Christmas!

I love your post! It is so true... And people are forgetting the true meaning of Christmas! So sad...

I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving too, and I hope that you and your family aren't sick, like me and a couple of my brothers and sister! :(

Well, got to skit!

Cool quotes and thanks for the comment on my blog I had a wonderful thanksgiving. It is a tradition in my family to have thanksgiving at my house and so my grandma grandpa and uncle all come over and spend thanksgiving with us. My mom and dad make a big meal we always have turkey. This year we borrowed a Wii from a friend and were playing it this thanksgiving. It was the best thanksgiving. {except I was sick} Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I think I already said this...but anyway we normally host Thanksgiving, but since we moved we did it at my aunt's house. We had like 30 people there(they should have been more but some were sick, etc.). It was pretty cool...I never heard of pumpkin cake before, I've never even seen it before...
Great post!

God bless
