January 5, 2009 - Happy New Year
First of all I just want to say HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it is 2009? I don't know about you guys, but for me 2008 went by very fast. Did any of you guys do anything fun for New Year's Eve? My friend Sierra came over for New Year's Eve and she spent the night! We stayed up and watched movies till 3:00am! The movies we watched were The Dark Night, An American Carol, and The World Is Not Enough (an old James Bond movie).
The Dark Night was pretty good. It had some very interesting characters, the joker being the most interesting. The movie proved some pretty good points! I'm not going to give them away, you will just have to watch the movie and find out what the points are. Overall I liked the movie and I would recommend it to teenagers and adults! I would not recommend it to children under 10 or 11 due to some of the gruesome parts of the movie. I would totally recommend you to read the overall review, click on the link and it will take you to the review of The Dark Night: The Link to the review of The Dark Night
An American Carol was awesome! It was so funny and I just loved it! The liberals got a taste of their own medicine with this movie! I recommend it to people that are interested in politics and people that want to have a good laugh! I recommend you to read the overall review to this movie, click on the link and you will be able to read the review of An American Carol: The link to the review of An American Carol
The World Is Not Enough is an older James Bond movie starring Peirce Bronson as James Bond. I love the James Bond movies and this one was pretty good! It was kind of funny seeing Peirce Bronson in Mama Mia and then in James Bond, it is a drastic change in character. If you like James Bond then I'm sure you would like this movie!
Well, that was my New Year's Eve!
I almost forgot to tell you guys that one of my family's Christmas presents this year was......A NEW PUPPY!!!!! He is so cute, he is 9 weeks old now and he is a beagle! We named him Copper! I took a bunch of pictures of him and I will post the pictures on here when I get them loaded up to my mom's computer!
Okay, for my next post I wanted to do something special! I need some ideas from you guys! Would you like to me to do a post of pictures, reviews on CDs, reviews on Movies, politics, etc! Let me know in a comment or a message!
Have a great week!
~Makayla~

Thanks for the comments...
That is completely okay...I am pretty busy too...with a new job, and studying for tests.
You got a puppy? Cool! We haven't had a dog in a while...we had a dog that I loved so much that died a few years ago, and the only other dog we got didn't work out.
I like James Bond movies, but I haven't watched many of them because of all the skin shown in them...which is really annoying...but the guy I really like is Sean Connery...he's really good as Bond.
I notice that my comments can get really long...so I'll stop this one right here...lol!
Have a happy and blessed 2009!

I didn't say much about his economic policies...but I think his tax cuts helped a lot. I am not happy about all the bailout stuff that Bush pushed in. I don't know exactly what Bush could have done with Freddie and Fannie, but I know that the primary blame rests on the democrats who forced the companies to make their sub-prime mortgage loans in the firstplace.
Bush isn't my favorite president...(mine is Teddy Roosevelt), but like you said, he kept America safe.
I have a feeling will be wishing we had Bush instead of the guy who's about to be sworn in...
Bush wasn't perfect, he made big mistakes, but I think he was moral, and walked in integrity...and he protected America far better than his predecessor. That is my view...
God bless

Check out my latest post...i think you'll like it.

Yes yes I know the Republicans could have done differently, and I am not happy with them either.
They could have done something and stopped it cold when it started, but after the 06 elections the Democrats gained majorities in the House and the Senate, which was when the problems accelerated with all the stuff the Democrats did. The Republicans are partly to blame, but they didn't cause the problem.
I just hope we can reform the Republican party back to its Reagan roots, because right now, in the words of Hannity, they are nothing more than a carbon-copy of the Democrat party right now. If we don't, third-parties may be our best option...We'll see what happens in the 2010 elections...
God bless
