Sojourner on earth

Jan. 21, 2008 - It has been a long time......

It has been a long time since I last wrote. A lot has happened since. The most important thing I have learnt is that prayer is a powerful tool. You hear it a lot and you repeat it, but until you see it in action you just don't know!!! There is sooo much power in prayer. Yes, mountains can be moved through prayer, especially if there are many others, intercessors, praying for the same cause. Watch out, it just may happen. I am reading a very interesting book, called Intercessory Prayer by Dutch Sheets. A friend showed it to me and the few lines I read while thumbing through it where really holding my attention. I'll write some more about it as´soon as I finish the book.

Sep. 18, 2007 - Lighthouse Everything Skit

This skit has brought tears to my eyes. I am wondering how often do I allow sin to  separate me from my Jesus? How often do I allow temptations to interfere? It can happen so quietly that I realize it much later. All the while Jesus is standing on the sidelines, trying to get me to return. If I don't read my bible everyday and pray and talk to my God everyday, that is the beginning of being a few steps away from Jesus. It is so easy to justify not to have time for quiet time, just me and my Lord. He is standing there asking me to come and sit down, talk to Him and be refreshed. He is standing there with outstreched arms, warm smile on His face, ready to give me His precious love as a free gift and I tell Him, ' oh, thanks - but I'll get back to you later - the laundry, you know?!'  Is that how I show Him that I truly appreciate His gift of live? Is that how I honor it, how I repay it?
Please dear Father in heaven, help me to find a regular time to meet with my best friend and be very consistent in that. ! Amen.

We always try to make time for our friends and family, I believe we should do at least the same for God!

So, here is my challenge to myself and anyone who wants to participate: Set a time to meet with your best friend. When do you do this? My family usually gets up early so I would have to beat them at that. That means I would have to get up at about 5 am to get something like one hour with my Father. I know I need this to make it through the day in a fashion that is pleasing to God. When is your time?

Blessings,
Sojourner00
