Nov. 25, 2008 - Bethlehem in Bartlesville

Hey all,

Life has been great, stressfull but great. GOD has been moving in my life, I don't know where, how or when. But I have relized that life is a mission. I know it's obvious but it's a big deal when you start to relize it in your heart. :)

My youth group got a new youth minister, his name is Kevin. So lately we have all been trying to get to know him. My old youth paster Lance is now the Education minister so it's great to still have him around! :)

The big news is that every three years now we do Bethlehem in Bartlesville where we make Bethlehem, or how we imagine it at least. I have been an angel every year. But this year I get the honor of being Mary mother of JESUS. :) I will be holding real babies and we will switch them out. (all joseph and I do is sit there as the people pass by.)

I've been thinking a lot about life in general with where my life is headed. Like overseas missions? Missions here? having a family? going to Liberty University? Just so much stuff is moving in my life.

Love ya'll

School is going really good. I have a lot on my plate this year but I'm handling it all pretty well. Church is keeping me busy when I'm not with friends or doing school. Every Friday my friends come over to my house and have lunch with me. So that's a lot of fun.

Sep. 13, 2008 - Wales and Back again!

The trip to the UK. :) Sorry it's so long! and sorry I haven't been on in like 2 months, life has been SO crazy as you can imagin. :)

I began my trip at our Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma Assembly camp, Falls Creek (www.fallscreekok.org). I attended base camp for 2 days at Falls Creek, which really prepared me for the plane ride and all the legalities that I didn’t even think about, as I‘ve never flown before. When we got into London, I and the other people who were stationed in Wales, rode on a bus to Cardiff, Wales, while half of the iWitness team stayed for work in London. When we arrived the first day, we prayer walked, which plowed the field (so to speak) and prepared the area for GOD’s work that would be done there, before and after we were there. Each morning, we read through Acts to begin the day. Everyday, we prayer walked for the first 30 minutes when we got to our stationed area of the city. I was stationed in the Cardiff Bay. We would then start talking to people when we felt the SPIRIT lead us. Otherwise, we were prayer walking. We would do that for about 4 hours and then come together with our Trek group and have simple Church outside. Our Trek group was a smaller team of ten people I worked with throughout the mission trip. Simple Church was where the trek group got together and went over what we read in Acts that day and talked about what happened that day. After Simple Church, we would then go eat and head back to the dorms.

My favorite day there was the hardest. It was raining really hard and it was freezing cold, so when the wind blew it felt like it was going right through you. To me, that day tested all of our faith. We all were getting frustrated about how cold it was and asking ourselves why we were there. But I was excited, it was like GOD was testing our faith and that just made it all worthwhile. I wanted to prove that I couldn’t handle the whole thing by myself but that GOD was there so he could provide me a way to get through the cold and just do the work for HIM. HE provided.
I got really close to this group of 3 local kids who happened to be my age. It was so nice to be around them and it really got deep too. Now, we didn’t bring them to salvation, but we got them one step closer to that point. The rest is up to GOD, which is a very comforting thought. For so long I was worried I’d say or do the wrong thing, but now I realize it all is truly up to GOD. I was just blessed enough to be used.
A simple act that stuck out to me that made me awaken was the fact that when we had simple Church out at the Bay, when we prayed we prayed with our eye’s open which took a few days to get used to because I grew up with the whole, ‘bow your head and close your eyes.’ But we were trying to not draw attention to ourselves but blend in. Coming home was a bit of a shock in a little way, because I was so used to not bowing my head. But in a way doing it here is safe. The word that we used a lot to prayer walk was ‘Oicas,’ which means ‘family,’ that the people there would have someone in there Oicas that could keep them walking in the right direction.

When I came back from Cardiff, I went straight to Falls Creek with my Church youth group, and one night they were talking about how following GOD is not always safe. I had come face to face with that realization while I was in Cardiff. Now I never had a gun to my head or anything, but just finally knowing that persecution is out there makes it more real to me.

The whole Cardiff group reached 6 people, but more happened than that, and all we wanted was GOD‘s will, whatever that is. We prayed over the city and did what GOD told us to do. One week after we left Cardiff, Trip B came in and covered the same place again! It was a huge uplifting thought while we were there! Just knowing that GOD really wasn’t done yet, for HE has been working on this city of Cardiff for a long time, left me in awe. In the 1900’s, there was a huge revival there, but as time went on people let go and just stopped believing in GOD. So most of them have heard the word of GOD, but have hardened their hearts to HIM. I don’t know what GOD has planned for this little city of Cardiff, but I know GOD has a plan.

I learned that the mission field is far more than any one trip to another country, it has to be how I live and work for GOD every day. I will never fully understand why GOD sent me to Wales this year, but He has shown me through this trip that people are in need of salvation everywhere. I am a more confident individual now because of a better understanding of the Holy Spirit working through me. My life as it is exists only because of Christ and His sacrifice. It has been an incredibly busy summer for me, as I have sought every opportunity I can to build relationships close to me and reach out to others for GOD. I will continue learning more about how GOD has called each of us to reach everyone we can for HIS Kingdom, and I appreciate your prayers for my growth in my Christian walk.
One more thing I’d ask of you would be for you to pray for the people there in the United Kingdom, that they would soften their hearts and that God would place someone in there lives that can lead them the rest of the way to CHRIST. I will be staying in touch with the young people I met while in Wales, and will continue to encourage them toward a saving knowledge in Jesus Christ.

Thankyou. :)

Jun. 15, 2008 - To Close to Turn Back now!

My life has been so busy! It's crazy, I have been preparing for the mission trip to Cardiff Wales. About a week ago I started having cold feet about the whole thing. Doubts just started to fill my mind stronger than I have ever felt. But I prayed about it and now I actually feel peaceful about it. Now I'm not saying I'm not scared because... I am. But I feel a lot better about the whole thing. I know GOD called me to do this. I'm not even sure why but I know he does. In any event I'm to close to turn back now. I will be going for 2 day's in training June 28+29 the 30 is when we will fly out to London, and then I will be on a train ride to Cardiff, Wales were I have been stationed along with the rest of them that are going there. I will be returning to Oklahoma, staight to Falls Creek, which is also when my youth group will be there so I'll just be a day and a half late to the camp. :) I'm filled with joy about the whole experence and what will happen.

Last weekend I went camping with my friends. :) We had a mud fight and a ton of fun!

This is when we were getting cleaned up. hahaha (I'm on the right)

And this is us with the racoon. (I'm in the middle)

May. 11, 2008 - Great Verses

Here are a few verses that I have fallen in love with. :)

Psalm 119:11

Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against YOU.

Psalm 86:11-12

Teach me YOUR way, O LORD, and I will walk in YOUR truth; give me an undivided heart that I may fear YOUR name. I will prais you, O LORD my GOD, with all my heart; I will glorify YOUR name forever.

Psalm 46:10-11

"Be still and know that I am GOD; I will be exalted among the nartions, I will exalted in the earth." The LORD Almighty is with us; the GOD of Jacob is our fortress.

Psalm 56:3-4

When I am afraid I will trust in YOU, in GOD whose word I praise, In GOD I trust I will not be afraid; what can a mortal man do to me?

Psalm 91

HE who dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "HE is my refuge and my fortress; My GOD in HIM I will trust." Surely HE shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous prestilence. HE shall cover you with HIS feathers, and under HIS wings you shall take refuge; HIS truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destuction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand my fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For HE shall give HIS angles charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, least you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpant you shall trample underfoot. "Because he has set his love upon ME, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high for he has known MY name. He shall call upon ME, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him MY salvation."

Psalm 119:112

I have inclined my heart to preform your statutes, forever to the very end.

Galations 2:20

I have been crucified with CHRIST and I know longer live but CHRIST lives in me. The lige I live in this body I live by faith in the Son of GOD who loves me and gave HIMSELF for me.

Mark 13:11

Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry before hand about what to say. Just say whatever is given to you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the HOLY SPIRIT.

1 Peter 3:3

You beauty should not come from outward adornment, suck as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.

God bless!

May. 9, 2008 - A Loss

Hey,

My best friend's dog died last night. The dog got into a fight with a racoon, the racoon jumped in the water and the dog jumped in after it and they were both sucked under. :( My friend is very sad, they had Katie (the dog) for a very long time. :( Please have them in your prayers.

My youth minister's father is having some back problems, he didn't go to Church wednesday night b/c he went to go check on his father.

Wednesday night Church went well over all. Drama had a skit and I was the crazy 'people watcher' so that was fun to do. I also sang in the praise band, um we didn't have vollyball practice which kinda stuck b/c I was looking forward to it. My friend and I got to talk through some things we were stuggling with so that was good.

I'm sOOO looking forward to Prince Caspian coming up. :)

GOD bless,

Solid Faith

Apr. 29, 2008 - Church

Hehehe, I have once again gotten lazy. lol. Anyway's I'll hopefully make a new post every week at LEAST.

This week has been so odd. It'll like I have been having up and down days. And I don't like it. I'll all of a sudden become agrivated. I don't know what it is.

Anyway's Sunday, at Sunday school we have been talking about Johnathon and David, I really like talking about them. They are just the model friendship. This Sunday we talked about how they made a covenent with eachother and because of that when Johnathon died David took care of his decendents. Even though it took him forever to locate them. Our activity before we talked about this was a relay race, you had a team of 3 people. In my group was Kelly, Austin and I. Kelly is thin and tallish. Austin is thin but has mucles and then there was me... the 2 smallest in the highschool age. lol. So we had to carry each person to the other side of the tape. First Austin and I carried Kelly, then Kelly and I carried Austin. The last one was me. So Kelly and Austin were carring me and Kelly wasn't really doing anything so Austin just picked me up like a baby and ran to the finish tape. We lost, but it was fun. :) Of course I had warn a dress that day. lol.

Sunday night my brother had his Chior thing, he did pretty good. It was a Living Inside Out theme. :)

Yesturday I had vollyball. I was so happy when Ryan showed up, otherwise it would have just been the girls and our coach again. We ended up loosing but aw well.

Tonight I have band. :)

GOD bless,

Since I don't have my drivers licence it was nice to have an ID card at least. :D I also opened up a checking account Monday. So now I can cash my own checks. :D My Checks I ordered and Debit Card should be here in a few days. :D

I have the 30 Hour famine tonight and tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it. It started this morning at 8.

Apr. 8, 2008 - Busy

Yesterday night I had volleyball. My team lost. :( For the first time. It was sad, but we had fun. Everytime but once I served it I got it over the net! I was so proud of myself. :D :D None of the guys on our team showed up which was kind of sad. I ran into our coach on accident while trying to get the ball so I'm still sore from that. When I got home I saw that one of our volleyball guys was mowing my lawn, (the one I talked to Wednesday about it.) So then I felt kind of bad for being mad that he wasn't at volleyball. He mowed the front yard, I helped him with picking up the grass on the sidewalk. We got to talk quite a bit which I enjoyed.

We also celebrated my brother and dad's birthday, which was fun.

My sister had an appointment with the Neurologist today and she has another one later today, which I hope all goes well. We are all worried about it.

GOD bless.

Mar. 31, 2008 - Car Wreck/ Violin

My sister and her friend had a car wreck yesturday. I was so thankful to GOD that they were ok. Same with the man that caused it. Of course accedents happen though. My sister's friends car is totaled. :(

Today I worked in the nursery and that night I went to my last violin practice August. :( I had to miss vollyball today since I had violin. But there should be one next week.

I also changed my layout last night. :) On this blog and my InNarnia one. :) What do you think about it?

Mar. 30, 2008 - Psalm 91

This is a chapter of the BIBLE that I have recentally found and loved.

Psalm 91

 1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
         Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

 2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
         My God, in Him I will trust.”

 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
         And from the perilous pestilence.
 4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
         And under His wings you shall take refuge;
         His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
         Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
         Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

 7 A thousand may fall at your side,
         And ten thousand at your right hand;
         But it shall not come near you.
 8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
         And see the reward of the wicked.

 9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge,
         Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
 10 No evil shall befall you,
         Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
         To keep you in all your ways.
 12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
         Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
         The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

 14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
         I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
         I will be with him in trouble;
         I will deliver him and honor him.
 16 With long life I will satisfy him,
         And show him My salvation.”

GOD bless, I'm off to bed. Oh and I updated my other blog. ( http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/InNarnia )

Mar. 28, 2008 - BattleGround

I just finished reading BattleGround by Rene Banglesdorf, with my mom. It was a really good book, my mom and I got a lot out of it. I would encourage you to read this book, but I'd say only teens and up.

Author: Rene Banglesdorf

A chance meeting...a magical book...a totally random series of events...or is it?

One by one five ordinary teenagers are pulled into an adventure unlike any they’ve ever experienced. They think it’s coincidence, but in reality unseen forces of good and evil are watching and influencing every move.

In a plan orchestrated by the Commander Himself, a multitude of angels is summoned to help an insecure skater, a fanatical jock, a prep-school rich kid, a self-absorbed volleyball player, and a missionary wannabe to find what they really long to know. Will they discover the truth, or will prejudices, premonitions and pride stop them in their tracks?

Find out in this supernatural thriller that casts a fresh light on angels and demons in a setting that could just as easily be your own town...
