My Molly Girl

Okay...she isn't mine...she's a riding school horse...but I love her....so I call her "My"

Anyways let my tell you how I met Molly...

I've been riding at Meadowlarke Stables for almost a year, and as I went down the isle of horses I thought to myself. "I wish they had a palomino horse...." Since I have a passion for palominos and they didn't have any..boo... and they I look in to a stall and there right in that stall was a palomino horse. I couldn't believe it.
She was beautiful, I would of stared at her for the entire day, but i knew I had to prepare for my ride.
I'll never forget that day....

Weeks later I read the list from which we knew what horse we are to ride. I looked and saw my name beside the name: Molly

I was surprised for some girls at the barn said Molly was retired but here I see my name right beside Molly's. Excitedly I went to meet Molly for the first time.

She was amazing, so many words could describe her.
Gentle, calm, kind, understanding, loving, spirited, graceful..she's completely wonderful!

To be continued.......

How nice for you that you got your dream--a palomino horse to ride at the stables.
Did you know that the girl in my books has a palomino named Taffy? Well, you said you loved my books, so maybe you know this? Have you read them?
Thanks for joining the contest, even if it was too late to get in the drawing. The publisher picked #1. I liked #2 better, too. But they're both good. You can see it at my Friday Show and Tell at my blog.
You have a long braid, just like I do!
You can go to my webpage and see other things like "How to Draw a Horse" video and stuff like that. Did you know the girl on the cover of my books is a homeschooler, too? :-)

Thank you for posting!
Yes, I thank the Lord all the time for Molly.

I have only read your first book "Andrea Carter and the Long Ride Home" (Hoping to get "Dangerous Decisions" soon!) and love it! I've read it ALOT (6 times? Don't remember,...) And the ending always makes me cry.I still remember when I purchased it at the HomeSchooling fair. ((Good horse books is always what I search for first....hehe)) And as I began reading it I couldn't put it down(but I had to for you can't read in the dark.....). Not only was it full of exciting adventure, but Andrea Carter had a palomino! Palominos are my favorite color(or breed) of horse, I was always drawn to them(and still am).

Yes, it was after I posted my vote that I noticed I was a day late...hehe always happens to me.
I agree, both covers are beautiful!

Drawing! If i'm not riding, i might be reading, if i'm not reading I will be most likely drawing....horses. I just posted some pictures, you may take a look if you like.

Yes, that picture was taken somewhere pre-spring so now my hair is up to my hips! I keep naging my Mom to cut it but she doesn't want to! >.<

I love going to your site :D So horsey and has alot of infomation.

Really? That's awesome!
I always wondered do you design the cover or do the publishers?
And another question I want to ask you is, "What made you to, or maybe inspired you to write the Circle C Adventures Series?"

My older sister read your book and really liked it. She's even thinking on making a screen-play. Yeah, she loves to write, has many book and movie ideas. She's determined on becoming a movie director and I pray she does. Her ideas are amazing!

God Bless!

This is an interesting way to write back and forth. You bought my book at a homeschooling fair??? Whoop---eee! My dream has always been to get the books to homeschoolers. You see, I wrote it (and the other 2) years ago, when my kids were in bed, after a long day of homeschooling!
Hmmm....what inspired me. Well...specifically, I was riding my bike around our countryside (horse country), saw all these horses and thought, "What if a girl was sitting on the fence and wishing with all her heart she could help gentle one of these horses? But what if she had a bossy older brother who doesn't think she can do anything right?" So...that's how the first book started. But...trivia just for you...Book 2 is the book I wrote FIRST! Ha-ha, I bet you didn't know that. When I wrote Long Ride Home it seemed to fit better as the first book in a series.

Overall inspiration for the series? Well, I liked to watch old western TV shows, but there's never any kids in the main cast! So I thought..."This show would be MUCH better if there was a younger sister." So I wrote my own "TV episodes," changed names, settings, and ideas, and turned them into books.

I hope that answers all of your questions. Did you know that you can get the books much cheaper at www.christianbook.com? Even CHEAPER at Library and Educational services catalog (only for libraries, schools, and homeschoolers).
I'm having some little cards made up with the new cover. I''d love to send some to you to pass around to your friends! Also...if you want me to put you on my "list" to receive a postcard when book 3 comes out, you can send me your address. I have about 400 names and addresses of kids and adults I send postcards to. You can be one of them if it's OK with your mom. Better ask her first. And if you do, you'd better PM me (don't post your address on your blog!) or e-mail me (click on my blog where it says e-mail).
