Could you answer me back?

I have only been blogging since February. I have heard of the Homeschool Carnival, but I really don't see the point? Isn't it just people submitting their blog? Couldn't you get the same variety by going to the homepage and glancing down the 100 last blogs and read ones that look interesting? Are their certain themes that people submit. Really, I don't want to miss out, but I went to the link and thought, "Oh no, I will never get up from my computer to do school!"

I really would like someones take on this.

Why Carnivals?

Carnivals make it easy for people who WANT to be part of a particular community to "show up," which is a valuable service. I skim through the Carnival to see if there are any new faces, then add them to my "blogroll" and/or RSS feed. That way, I have a good chance of staying current with all the people who take the effort to submit a post to the Carnival.

olympus

im sorry, this prolly isnt the right place for a comment like this, but i was wondering if you are the author of the book olympus? i first discovered it about 3 years ago and fell instantly in love with it. i just finished reading it for the bazillionth time last night and i came back to the same conclusion as the other bazillion times: I WANT MORE! lol.
the back cover says that its the first in a trilology. ive done a ton of internet searches, but i can only find olympus. have you written others yet? ive been dying to find out what "its not over!" really means.
in any case, i truely admire your work. you, like c.s. lewis are a brave pioneer into the genre of christian fantasy and i must say, you have conquered this frontier. i applaud you!

Yes, you've tracked me down...

I've worked on the first few chapters of the sequel to Olympus, and I've TOLD the entire story of the sequel to my local fans in Maryland... but I have to admit I still haven't written the next book yet.

I HOPE to write it, still...

ah....

well then theres only one thing for it: ill have to move to maryland. lol. =D
so you have the entire plot, only on a less-than-printable mental disk? hehee. well i do implore you to lock yourself in for a couple days and type it up. ive been waiting for over 3 years! lol.
i do understand how this sort of thing can happen. alas, i have quite a stack of unfinished stories myself. however, i beg you to keep olympus 2 from ending up in this stack! *gets on hands and knees*

p.s.-- have you read the book atlantyx by chase dalton? its rather similar to olympus.
