How to add a "Share & $ave" logo to a Homeschoolblogger site
This is a special entry for homeschoolbloggers ("HSB") who use Tapestry of Grace ("TOG") and want to get credit for helping to share it with others. Here's what you need to know to add a TOG logo and link to your blog.
Go to your HSB control panel.
Click "Template"
Search for scroll through the HTML code that defines how your page is laid out until you get to text that reads "My Links".
On the line BEFORE that, insert the following text, with ONE important change.
Share & $ave
The CHANGE you need to make is to replace the "KDAD" affiliate code at the end of the long line above with your own affiliate code. This is usually an 8 character string beginning with "TOG".
Click the "preview changes" button at the bottom of the screen to make sure you got what you wanted. Click on your new button and make sure it takes you to the Lampstand Bookshelf.
Save it if it's right.
Congratulations! You're up and running!
If you aren't sharing and saving yet, click Share & $ave Logon to get started!
Oh, no! You haven't posted all year! And I soooo want to pick your family's brain on something, but if you're not blogging, then you might not ever get this message. Oh, well. To God be the glory. Maybe in His grace you'll get this.
Hubby and I are purchasing (read: mortgaging) our first home after almost 15 years of marriage and renting. My heart's desire is to have my mother-in-law move in with us. She's not so old she can't take care of herself or anything. I just really, really, REALLY want her with us instead of living on her own, by herself, lonely-like.
I remember sometime ago you commented on my blog on my entry about marriage/divorce/remarriage and you said that your mother (I think mother, or was it MIL?) agreed with me and that you all had been discussing it around the kitchen table. Whatever you said specifically, I was left with the definitive impression that she lives WITH you. I don't know any Christians who have the previous generation living with them, but I can only imagine it's a tremendous blessing. If you get this, would you or your wife or your mother (MIL?) mind emailing me and describing the how's and what's of multigenerational living, and maybe be open to further correspondence from me on the subject? Please? I'm very interested in knowing how it all works out. Specifically, how much space would I need to provide her? I mean, I know she's going to want to bring more than just bedroom stuff, and I'm totally on board with that. I just don't know the practicalities of it all. Make sense?
Anyway, when/if you have time/inclination, I'd love the chance to pick your family's brain on the matter.
Many blessings to you,
Christi
