Homeschool Blogroll

He's Back!

From Europe, that is.  (It was great!)  Still not released to unleash the blogger within, though.  I'm available to answer questions, however.  Does anybody have any for me?

Scott, perfect timing! Welcome back!!! FYI -- your blog is mentioned in this post

BTW, drop me a line if you still need help getting your blog in shape. I see you've lost your header graphic.

Quelle chance!

I have a few hundred, but we can start with these:

1. How was Paris?
2. Parlez-vous francais?
3. Did HSLDA write Section 522?
4. How did it come to be a part of HR 1815?

Merci beaucoup,
Natalie

Merci!

(1) France was fine. I prefer Italy, though, where they do not mock my appalling attempts to communicate in the native language. (The cappucino is to die for, too.)

(2) I readez vous Francais, a little. The parlezing is what gets me mocked. (See #1)

(3 & 4) I've been trying to talk to Caleb Kershner ever since I got back. Caleb is our staffer here who is most responsible for getting 522 into its current form. Caleb is a homeschool grad who has worked here for years, and recently graduated from law school. He works part time, and is down in DC a lot, so I just haven't been able to see him face-to-face since I got back. So, the simple fact is, I don't know HOW Caleb got this done. But I'm impressed.

I didn't really think we had a prayer of getting military language signed into law this year, but I've tried to be very forthright about HSLDA's ongoing committment to figure out some way to enable homeschool grads to enlist without having to take a GED or get 15 college credits. I'm amazed at Caleb's success so far. We'll see what happens between now and bill-sgning time.

Yes I do!

Where did I get the idea that you quit blogging? I thought I read that and took you off my friends list and forgot all about you except when I venture over to HSLDA. Today, I was random blogging and found you alive and well! I'm so glad to know you're still here. This time I'm going to sign up for your RSS feed!
