Unseasonably warm...5 days of record high temperatures...whoa, Nelly...I'd like a little more Spring before we have Summer, please!
Still leveling part of the garden, and I've found a couple of stray sunflower seeds have sprouted. Our indoor seedlings are sprouting...42 tomato plants, and 30 pepper...my tomatillo seeds just arrived, and I think I'll start them ahead of time as well.
Life in a small town is nice...we had occasion to replace our old faithful family van (which was getting a little unreliable in some respects, but was a great "God" vehicle...a blessing for the 7 1/2 years we drove it). We found a 2006 12 passenger van locally at a great price. Yesterday, a good month and a half after the purchase, we arrived home to find a plant at our front gate, delivered by a local florist. It was from the owner of the dealership, thanking us for the purchase. Now that's a nice touch!
That's life on the ranch these days, sweltering a little, but not too much thanks to the swamp cooler, enjoying little league prep., and taking life at a small town pace.
Blessings! |
